Well I just ordered a bunch of parts to build a desktop so I thought what else does everyone else have.

My laptop that I have now(2005)
2.0 GHz Pentium M
1 GB Ram
128 ATI Radeon 9600 Series (GFX Card)
100 GB HDD
Samsung CD/CD+CD-RW/ DVD
15.4" Screen (XGA resolution I think it is)

The computer specs that am going to build are
2.13 Pentium Core 2 Duo
2 Gb RAM
512 MB NVIDIA GFX Card
250 GB HDD
DVD and CD Burner
19" LCD Monitor
The Case looks really cool lol.

Cylon know anywhere where good where they show you how to overclock (or you if you can) because I want to try it when my computer gets here but I don't want to fub it up either.

Overclocking can be dangerous, but very rarley, just keep in mind it sometimes voids warranty. Personally wouldn't worry about it though.

3.2 GHz Pentium 4 processor
1.5 GB RAM
ATI 600 series Radeon graphics chip (which i will hopefully upgrade to a 1600 series this christmas, the only reason i dont do it now is cause im saving my money for some kick *** games and for hangin with mah friends)
17" LCD SXGA monitor
80GB HDD
320 GB HDD
CD/DVD read drive
CD
±R/RW / DVD±R/RW read/write drive
7 USB ports
2 of those external hdd ports
2 ethernet ports & 1 lan line (2 cat 5's and 1 whatever phones are)

2.5 GB RAM
XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition (mistakenly didn't get the XXX version of this)
17" LCD SXGA monitor
80GB HDD
320 GB HDD
CD/DVD read drive
CD±R/RW & DVD±R/RW read/write drive
7 USB ports
2 of those external hdd ports

650w Antec Truepower Trio PSU
some ****** intel motherboard, with what looks like could be an integrated graphics chip on it, but not sure

I'll just stick to the basics. Not sure anyone cares how many USB ports I have!

AMD Athlon X2 5600+
2GB RAM
~400GB space spread over 2 drives and a RAID array
Stock nVidia 8800GT 512MB
19" Monitor

Er, that's about it. It's a self build and has served me well so far, although I'm constantly upgrading. When the right part comes along at the right price, I tend to grab it. I haven't used it for gaming in a while though. Certainly nothing that justified the purchase of the graphics board. Hopefully something special will come along soon. PC gaming hasn't been so great lately.
