I don't mean cluttering the entire map with obstacles. I like the amount of things Crossroads had on SOCOM2. Some boxes here and there, with some tents included in the middle. I wouldn't want this to be a RUN OUT AND SHOOT EM' UP GAME.

Thats probably what its gonna end up being. Idk you'll probably have to stay around your teammates just to have a chance at winning.

Well, I think it would be kinda better. Socom 2 was way more addicting then Socom 3 so I can't really complain. I hope it will bring back all the memories. I actually kinda missed playing with my old real life friends on SOCOM2.

And people that play games for how "good" they look are playing games for the wrong reasons... sorry, just my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it helps a lot when a game looks good, but I can play GameBoy Advance games and think they still look good... but overall, I play them 'cause they're still a helluva lot of fun.

I agree with this. If they re-released SOCOM 2 and jsut had 40,000+ users on daily like it was in the golden days I would probably buy it again for retail price. These new graphics and features are just bonus in my eyes. OF course new maps are nice as well.
On the subject of blood, I hope they have it eaxctly like SOCOM 2 when you shot the guy up and blood was flying everywhere like a popping water balloon. Except this time when that actually happens, the guy dies, haha.

I wouldn't even care if the guy sponged like in S2, part of the fun was saying "****ing terrible hit deteciton, i hit that guy so much.." over, and over and over and again.
As far as graphics go, this game does look amazing. In my opinion S1/S2's graphics were PERFECT forthe game, I wouldn't want them to look at all any different, except for maybe some lines to be smoother (palm trees in xroads, buildings etc). I played S2 last night and nostalgia kicked in very very fast.

Call me weird, but part of the fun was NOT shooting a guy 10 times and not even injuring him. If you call that fun, go play Killzone online.

Did doing that not make you want to play another round and dominate that guy this time around?

No, it made me want to bash my head through the TV.
Especially when all it took was a spin from the person I was shooting and a single shot and I got killed.

I love it when you and an opponent both get caught off guard, and you both freak, then run around like noobs.
Good times.

True, although that happens in every online shooter, or at least all the Socom titles.
