How does everyone feel about a Confrontation Petition?
After reading numerous posts within the past weeks, should we start a petition so that all the old socom 1 and socom 2 maps should be available in socom confrontation? I see a lot of people disagree with the new radar and the ots view which i believe with be an option if you press up on the d-pad. If you guys think its an idea, someone thats known on the forum should type something good up and post it here and on the socom confrontation forum over at sony so Seth gets to see it "if" he uses the socom vets feedback for support in creating socom confrontation.

Petitioning something about a game that hasn't come out yet? I really think we should wait until the game comes out before we start hyping or complaining or petitioning about anything.
The thing that is great about the PS3/360 is that getting download able content (i.e. extra maps, guns, so forth) is easier than the PS2. Since Zipper isn't making this Socom we might be getting updates and more than one patch.
Heck, these maps could be kick ***! You never know how a game is going to turn out until you play it for the first time. So before anyone should petition anything, lets give the game a chance.

I'd think for the game to have any "life expectancy" --lasting longer than just a year or so due to only having 5 maps, that they would release more as time goes on..
Which games nowadays don't have downloadable content?

Zipper's not even making it. Don't expect old maps. Even if you petition, what's that gonna do? You get 300 names.... And they sell the game to hundreds of thousands of people.

yeah i know the game hasnt even come out yet but i was just stating an idea. In my opinion the game looks so far so good. Can't wait to see more videos and news about it. The only reason why i started the thread because of the many that have many negativity over 2 videos and 6 screen shots along with limited information.

I think there's like 5 areas and then many little maps in those areas. From the interview on IGN I got the impression it will be like a Killing Fields big map with 5 or so small maps available.
When the game gets going they should have downloadable maps every 2 months or so, unlike zipper who releases a map pack every 5 years .

I'm really hoping they release more socom 1 and 2 maps. They can't just release one and not the rest, its like giving a kid 1/4 of a piece of candy or something lol we need the whole 9 yards man lol

Personally, I only care about a few Socom 1 and 2 maps and one of those is Crossroads.
A petition won't do anything. For all we know, map packs will be coming out that will have all old maps and new ones.
I'd rather not see any old maps, unless revised, such as Crossroads, which looks quite different. Playing the Socom 1 and 2 maps for years got too old for me. I would like another Frostfire, only much larger and revised.
Socom C won't have one big map with small sections. It will only have five maps.

Don't you think you're over exaggerating... just a little?
Keep in mind not very many people have a PS3 compared to the PS2.

Considering how every single past socom title (I know S2 and S3 for sure) has sold in excess of 100,000, its not that far fetched. Also, not everyone had online for the PS2, and since there are a lot less games out, that evens it out for the lack of PS3's in my opinion.
