SOCOM: Confrontation--extreme letdown
it appears that SOCOM: Confrontation will be only avalible for purchase on the ps3 network only that results in a

1 price that may not drop for quite a while or ever at all

2 no buying the game from ebay or pawn stores or video stores or retail outlets

3 no taking the game to ur friends house unless u move ur whloe system

4 no "owning from blockbuster" my special technique

5 and most of all im guessing that thier may not be a single player option'the reasoning behind that is that if u have to be online to buy it-it would seem to be a online only game

6 u will have to have a internet connection in order to buy the game

7 just for a goof--no camping at the stores waiting for it to be sold' guess ur just gonna have to camp out on ps3 online for its release ha ha
in case u dont get it its a joke

im not saying the game will be bad but do u realy want to pay 50 bucks for a game wich might suck 'not that i think it will' considering how many people here are upset with sca and sc3
also if u dont like it there's no returns or selling it
i dont have a ps3 so im not shure about transfering the hd to someone elses system
lets hear ur thoughts

we all knew this. the thing is:

first, your post was not well thought out. number 6 is pointless because of number 5. you say in number 5 "u have to be online to buy it-it would seem to be a online only game ". number 6 says "u will have to have a internet connection in order to buy the game"

numbers 2, 3, and 4 are just plain stupid. If you can't rent the game, you can't obviously own it from blockbuster. And if you can only download it, then no **** you cant take the game to a friends house.

its seriously not that big of a deal that its only for download. its only there to keep you satisfied until zipper releases a new socom and kills all our hopes and dreams. you made the convenience of buying the game online seem like a huge deal. and please, type with full words. it took me over 3 minutes to read your post.

First off, that hasn't been confirmed yet, only rumored. Second, there's speculation going around it's coming out in stores with a mic and coming out on the playstation store. You should wait until E3 is over to start talking if you don't really know the truth. You only talk about something that is simply a rumor. Lastly, Socom Confrontation is going to be way better than socom 3 and socom CA, period.

Pyro's right. All your bitching is unfounded. It will see a commercial, hard copy release in addition to an online download. Have you read anything about it? Seriously.

Ok well am sorry but your an idiot. Sony revealed today that Socom along with other games was going to be available via Playstation Network AND Blueray disks which will be sold in stores such as Gamestop. And for gods sake the game isn't even out yet so it can't be a letdown!

IGN: Will the downloadable and in-store releases differ in any way? Does having the download-only option allow for anything that a store-only release doesn't?

Luisi: This is still being decided.

Who says the price can't drop? Even if it were ONLY available to buy online, doesn't mean the price won't drop on it.

...if the game is only available to purchase online. At the same time, what reason would they have to take the download down? The download will probably be there for a looooong time, so there would be no need to go out and buy it.

This is only based off of being able to download it online only..the PS3's have a big HDD regardless, so download it on a friends PS3? Or bring your HDD over(if you're able to do that, I'm unfamiliar with it)..or, flashdrive(if the game is able to fit on one, I have no clue how much memory you can get on a flash drive and how big the game is going to be)

So you're saying that since this would PREVENT stealing, that it's going to be bad? I'm sorry, but I'm a huge fan of earning what you get. If you steal something you certainly don't deserve it, and you are scum.

It was already confirmed this was going to be an online-only game. Don't have the exact link to it but if you look at the last Q/A of the interview I posted above it says there were looking to make an online only Socom game.

Quote:
6 u will have to have a internet connection in order to buy the game
That would be true if this game was only available to buy online..like said 10x before. But the game is also going to be online-only, so having an internet connection is obviously required even if you go buy it at a store.

Online only games are probably only going to be $30. That's how much warhawk is going to be.
