The Darkness (360)
I'm looking forward to this game, especially after reading the preview for it in OXM. Release date is June 25th this game is based on the Comic Book , which I've never read. Should be pretty graphic, which is right up my alley. Made by the same developers that made Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay which I heard is one of the very few excellent Movie to Video Games ever.
The Darkness: Video Game - Official Site - Coming Soon for Xbox 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3
This game even has episodes of the cartoon Popeye and the 1922 Version of the movie Nosferatu ( one of my favorites ) within the game itself that you can stop and watch. And possibly the biggest draw is that Mike Patton ( lead singer of Faith No More , Fantomas, Tomahawk ) does some of the voice work.

While both PS3 and 360 versions are close to being the same, and they both have in game television shows on the TVs and other thing around the game. The PS3 version has better quality, and more shows you can watch, because of blu-ray, if you really intend onto sitting down and watching them for some reason >_> On the 360 one there will be a limited amount, and it will loop rather quickly (From what I have heard).
But, the games look quite the same, so I dont think it matter what system you would purchase it for, but the game itself looks quite good. I don't think it would be a buy for me though. I will probably just get it from Gamefly, or pick it up from Blockbuster.
Edit: The Game is multiplatform, and I just mentioned this for people curious of which one to get. They are pretty much the same, just the difference between the in-game tv shows.

Let's not forget the vocal work that he contributed to Mr. Bungle... who I happened to see in concert. Zany stuff they did on stage... like wearing masks and costumes... but that's a story all to itself.
On topic, I think this game looks average at best... the video that I saw for it on last month's OXM disc almost had me reaching for the revolver to shoot myself... it got boring in a hurry listening to Marc Silvestri drone on and on about his story being brought to life on a video game system.
And congrats to zero for posting a rather un-biased take on the game... a round of applause for you.

Got this game yesterday and I'm digging it. Mike Patton's voice is all over the game and I have to say it's killer. The combination of a Mob story, Mike Patton, and the gore and dread of it will have me playing this through.
The Darklings that you summon are cool when they mess people up and then urinate on their dead bodies afterwards makes me smile.
Multiplayer isn't so great, standard cut and dry warehouse shooting alot of lag and problems with the servers last night.

This game is virtually unplayable online. I enjoyed the offline, but pisses me off I can't skip the damn cut scenes on the 2nd time through.
But I could not find one lagless room ever. Some rooms are so bad where there is about a 8 second delay and freezing. The better rooms, still sadly have a lot of teleporting and is still very hard to play. If the game didn't lag at all, the MP could be somewhat enjoyable.

Judging by their sports games, 2K has never created a really great online experience...

I fail to see how they test their games online.........if they do test them, and think something like this is acceptable? If you were going to release it like that, you might as well scrap mutliplayer completely.

I played it last night, and I think it got boring fast. I wasn't liking the small red recticle instead of a normal one.

After hearing what you've had to say about the online in this game, it's now blatantly obvious that they have no beta testers on their payroll.
