Reason #571 that I love my wife:
(This dialog occurs at Megatron's big reveal in the game, when the Decepticons go and bust him out)
Her: Who the hell is that?
Me: That's Megatron
Her: What? That doesn't look like Megatron at all.
Me: Yup.
Her: Megatron's big and evil, and has a huge cannon on his arm, not this tin foil spider lookin guy.
Me: Yup.
Her: Jesus, I bet you're pissed about this.
Me: Yup.
Despite being continuously hassled by clanmates last night to come play
Graw 2, I spent the night playing this game. All in all I loved it. The graphics are top notch and what really blew me away is the sound effects.
Gameplay is also very enjoyable. It's a good mix of sandbox and missions and bonuses along the way. What's also nice is the game borrows from
Dead Rising's mentality that anything is a weapon.
Another great thing is that all of the environments are fully destructable, so you can go on a
Most Extreme robot rampage.
To date, this is the greatest Transformers game ever. The action is great, and the transformations are so slick and smooth. Plus you can play as your faction of choice, and take great pride in stomping Prime into the ground as I did.
As just a 360 game it's very fun and enjoyable with tons of achievements, unlockable items and bonus missions to give it a couple months of replay value.
I do have some gripes with it though...
For starters the instruction book is 4 pages long. Literally. There's a lot that you've got to figure out on your own, when you really shouldn't have to.
Another thing that irked me was that this game employs the GTA mini-radar/map. That's all fine and good, but what would've been additionally useful is if they also included a full map. There're a handful of missions where you have limited time to complete multiple objecives that are strewn throughout the map, and you need to do them in a certain order to make the time limit. A full map would've helped tremendously on these missions.
Another thing was that the bosses were a little disappointing and repetitive. They all go through this cycle of "Fight me, I get weak and run off, send in some drones for you to make waste of, and then I come back and we do it all again". Even the Auto-HNIC Optimus Prime was fairly easy.
As a movie game it's good and fun, and enjoyable.
All in all, I give it a 7.5 our of 10.
