Fox picks up Halo movie!

Filmwad - Movie news, trailers, galleries and box office! FOX Picks Up Halo

Fox has snagged up the license for the Halo movie. According to the article many have avoided Halo and it has been without a director or studio for quite awhile, but now Fox grabbed it.

But, the thing is, it is pretty ironic that Fox is exclusive to Blu-ray. So does that mean there won't be a halo HD-DVD movie that people can watch on their 360s? >_<

It won't be out for several years, if they do ever finish it. So things might change.

Pretty ironic on the Blu ray part. Personally, I don't see video game movies being much at all, ever. It just seems stupid to me.

I fell the same way. Resident evil for example wasn't a really good movie IMO. Right now, the only video game movie that I think would be cool is a Metal Gear Solid movie.

Exactly. Since they do such a great job with the games cut scenes, I think they should just have the guys at Konami work on it, atleast have Kojima write and direct it.

Video game movies would never be a huge success. It's basically the same situation with books and movies. The book is always better than the movie, as the video game would be better than the movie.

I mean... Nothing, and I mean NO GAME can give me the same pleasure that I had playing it as I did with Metal Gear Solid.

No, not the predecessors, or successors... But Metal Gear Solid, you know, the one w/ the wierd homosexual psychic guy who you had to use your second controller to beat.

Might as well change this to the "MGS is so HAWT" thread.

I love the ****ing music for the metal gear solid games. My brother just bought a pretty nice keyboard and stuff, and the little time I would play it, I will try to learn how to play the Main theme. **** everything else, I just want to play that song! (It isn't extremely complicated)

Anyways, CGI movies are the way to go for "Video Game Movies" Look how popular Final Fantasy 7 Advent Chilren was. A Kingdom Hearts movie with real people would be laughable.
