101st Airborne Ranger Division: Recruiting

Our Tactical clan is looking to recruit mature players. This is some of what we have to offer:

- We are a long term clan and have been around since SOCOM 1.
- We have our own website: www.101stRangers.net.
- The average age of clan membership is around 25.
- The average age of clan leadership is around 35.
- We have former military members teaching real infantry tactics where they apply to the game.
- We set up wars in advance. We show up with a plan. We fight them, we win, and we lose. We try to learn from the losses and improve.
- We like to war on Friday and Saturday nights, which can be good for someone working a routine work week.
- We have participated successfully in several major tournaments, including Urgent Fury 3.

We are looking for mature and dependable players who understand or are willing to learn real teamwork. We use things like maneuver elements, feints, combined arms, fire teams, mutual support, and initiative to just name a few of the things in our sense of teamwork.

You may have seen our recruitment rooms up in the Eastern Ranked servers, and are welcome to drop by and play with us.

* We are primarily an East coast and Central time zone clan. West coast members are welcome, but we don't stay up past midnight during the week for the most part, so you would have to get on early to catch us if you are on the West coast.

* We are an active and serious clan; commitment is necessary. Members are expected to maintain high levels of activity during the recruitment process and as a member.

-[101] does not tolerate cheating of any kind, including rank ups, and does not appreciate quick sniping.
-We do not care about in game rank but maintain a clan ranking system mainly by our forums based on various criteria, with responsibility increasing as you gain rank.
-We currently have two active rosters, one for recruits and recruiters and another for full members.
-We encourage activity but understand that SOCOM is a game.

Do you camp 24/7 to win wars or is there a mix of gun fighting?

We don't pitch tents no, but we don't run out mindlessly either... lol... but yes usually there's a good deal of gunfighting in wars/playing.

In other words... we play a good mix of styles... for instance, if it's demo we usually pressure the bomb from the start... not just camp in the base all day... but if it's suppression and we're up in numbers we're going to play smart and hold things down-the style is entirely dependent on the situation.

Good stuf. I just joined a clan and we got some good gunners. But you know if you had 16 people all doing a specific job at a specific place you'd be unbeatable. Good communication and strategical map planning is good.

Yes we are still recruiting, and just recently applied for participation in Urgent Fury 4 after a long and successful tour in UF3 last year, so we will be looking for more recruits to strengthen our roster.
