I'm going to check out the demo tonight. As long as it's along the same lines as the PS2 ones, I'll be buying it. I've got about $30 in Bestbuy giftcards, so that'll get that at half price.

Well, be sure to let me know your final decision... I played the Japanese copy of the demo months ago... I liked it back then, reminded me of the old school games.

Sure, it played a little clunky, but it was an early build of the demo... so I expected that.

I played the demo for a few minutes today, seemed like it would be a solid game to me. Of course, I've never played any of the others, but this seems at least worth a rent.

I spent about an hour with the demo, and I have to say I was a bit displeased. I found the combat system to be more aggrivating than ever, and was bored of the hack, hack, slashfest before I knew it.

I'm sad to report that I don't think I'll be getting this one.

I didn't like it until I realized you were supposed to hold RT when you're fighting people. (if you even have to fight them, because if you sneak up stealthily, you can do a special kill)

I enjoyed it, but didn't see the point of the Partner....
I liked being able to crawl under buildings and then slide out and slash people's throats.

Didn't like the same 3-way slash attack you had though.

It was fun overall. Had trouble fighting the final guy, and had to make him fall into the ocean the first time I played through. After I realized the RT holding, and that it's more of a "sneaking" game, it was more fun.

I noticed that LuFeng was playing this game last night... so far, that's the only person that I have seen playing Tenchu Z. When I have the chance, I'll probably go to the video store and rent it... but I'm in no rush to do so.

I have bought this game and its freakin awesome. Theres about 4 different types of missions and 50 of them, 150 if you count each diffuculty.

Mission a - Assasination. Most seen type, Basically kill the target

Mission b - Kill Everyone. Self Explainitory...Kill Everyone!

Mission c - Collect the bombs. Run around the map collecting the bombs

Mission d - Meet the informant. Get from point a to point b


Online rocks, since you can play with up to 3 more people for triple to ninja fun ^^.


Boss battles can be hard, but also can be easy if you know what to do *Cough,KnockEmIntoWater,Cough*
Customization is very good, with various items to choose from.
You get plenty of different ninja equipment as well..
