Why use Filefront?

hey, iv been wondering, y does everyone use filefront? 1) i can nvr seem to open it, and 2), when i do, it is really laggy. and no, i do not have a bad cpu. i have a new alien ware, so it works pretty dam good. sometimes, i just dont get it...
