I recently bought this figuring that it would be awesome, but when i play with it i can barely hear people talking. I have the volume switch as loud as it can go but i dont understand why i cant hear them as good as i can with my original socom1 headset... any suggestions? thanks
Make sure that the cord that goes into the headset all the way, there should be a groove on the headset and a thing sticking out on the cord that makes the cord go in all the way.
dude i have 1 and it works fine if you're talking about the motorola type. on that headset theres a little black attachment on the cord and it has a volume control switch and it's very sensitive so that could be your problem theres also a mute switch on it which is also very sensitive. thats all i could think could be your problem i went through about 5 of the old ones i feel the motorola is durable and well worth $35.00. and very comfortable the earpiece and the mic has good movement in which it bends in different directions. i'm very satisfied with it.
Here's a pic of mine (Don't mind the product placement) (Cleaning lady IE: Me Doesn't come often LOL) Best money I ever spent on a SOCOM headset, and the best part is that it is also a USB headset it works on your computer as well.
