When I stay home, it's never because I'm sick. It's generally because I got a lot of school work to do when I don't have a lot of time in the week. I would say I miss 5-10 days.

None. I have missed 2 half days in the last 9 years because I was sick and that's only because they made me go home.

I feel that if I'm going to be sick the least I can do is share it with my co-workers.

Back in sixth grade I used to fake sick all the time, but now I rarely stay home sick. Most of the time I just miss like first period because of a bad stomach ache, but I haven't missed a whole day yet because I was sick so far this year. I missed a lot last year from chemo, but that doesn't really count.

I work with my Dad who has had a Liver Transplant ( 10 years ago ) so his immune system is very weak. So, whenever I get sick either he stays home from work, or I do , depending on the workload. I just make sure I keep my distance.

I'll usually not go into work or do a Half day after a Wild Night Out / Concert Night. Because I Can.

Sick doesn't exist in teh army unless it is really serious, like your stomach tearing its way out through your spine or your hand falling off, but I get a surprising amount of days off each year... I'm a clumsy buckin' eejit and that goes poorly on an army base... and up trees, and on helicopters, and even in some of the most barren places on the earth's surface... I always find a way to mess myself up

10-30 easily. I get sick alot, and when I say sick, I don't mean a little stuffed nosed and cough, I mean puking, sore throat, watery eyes, the whole nine.

1 to 5 per school year.

I get more falsely recorded absences (teacher making me absent when I'm sat right in front of them) than I do sick days.

I have only had 2 in 3 years of me been in a US high school, both were this school year. The first one I think I was puking or something, then the second one was last Friday. I had a bad migraine and couldn't see, so i couldn't drive to school.

I would rather sit in school than sit at home with my Mom running around annoying me all day.

We have an incentive to stay in school. If we have less than 3 absences and a C average, we don't have to take 3 of our finals. If we are out more than 10 days for any reason, and we fail the final, we fail the class.

Best just to go.
