Going back to the keeping of the films.
I made a thread a few days ago talking about a recent survey given to a select few gamers, from Microsoft.
One question was something along the lines of "Do you want to be able to keep the movies, price: $19.99". (Question may not be anywhere near the same as that)
The article in the magazine I found it in simply said that Microsoft told the magazine editors to publish that keeping the movies will not be an option.
I don't know what to think or it really, but wont be downloading them no matter what.
Food for thought.

At a price like that, it'd be stupid not to go out and buy a physical copy of the movie.

Yea I was thinking the same thing.
But, some people simply dont have that option for whatever reason.
Personally, I would buy a hard copy. I hate downloading stuff that is worth anything more than $10 or so, I dont trust that I will actually recieve it.

The only thing is, those downloadable movies are in HD. So, they may be aiming to appeal to those who don't have a nextgen DVD player, or are looking to get people to buy into the HD-DVD drive add-on.
It's actually not a bad idea when you consider the latter, and very well could be MS's ace up the sleeve in the format war.
If you've got an HDTV over 32", you've probably noticed that old DVDs look kinda crappy on it. An HD format war is underway, and there's only going to be one winner eventually. So, maybe you download an HD movie to see how the quality compares ( a recent study I read showed that the downloadable HD movies were nearly identical to the same movie on HD DVD. I don't have the link though, most likely on engadget or gizmodo) to the old SD DVD. You see the glory of HD films on your nifty set, and decide to go the cheapest route: buy the HD DVD add-on for the 360.
That's pretty genius.
I've already decided that 300 will be the first HD video I buy, so maybe I should get that add-on now.

Damn... I forgot about that movie... a friend of mine was telling me about this "300" movie around the time the PS3 and Wii were launched... and during all of that hoopla, it looks as though I forgot about Frank Miller's new project.
I do remember that it looked phenomenal!!!

I was thinking about giving the face scanning another try... all depends on how long it takes me to get home from work tonight.
Tomorrow should be another story, as I'll walk in the door at home from my class much earlier than I normally get home from work.
Ironically, school is closer to my house than where I work.

I've decided to finally connect my 360 to my "Xp-based PC" and stream some music through it, but my question is;
Can I rip it to my HD?
*edit*
I'm stupid..nvm :)

I tried to rip it from a CD, but that didn't work.
I also tried transferring stuff over my network but that didn't work either!
I am finally giving in today and doing it how you should.
Using a "USB Mass Storage Device" (SOCOM 3's description) is easier than anything else if you cant hook it up to a PC. (I-Pods, and stuff like that are good I suppose)

Yeah, you can't transfer data from your computer to you 360 HD, and I think that sucks.
But ripping from the CD is simple, just pop in the CD, wait for the music player to come up then select "rip CD". Then about 4-5 mins later, BAM, that CD is on your HD...I've done 3 so far.
