the point of snipers?

Is there any point to snipers see as how you can lock on? Because the assault rifles can have a high scope and are fully automatic.

The m87 should be a one shot kill like it is in s3, if it was there would be a point to snipers

To be honest I prefer the l96 over anything the 50.cal rifles are for basic snipers just learning how to snipe. It takes real skill to snipe with a l96 or m 40 even with the sasr and sr 25.

The .50 Cal sniper rifles are one shot and it only takes 2 shots if you hit them in the legs or if they are across the map. 90% its one shot kill. An IW and M16 take a ton of shots unless you get a lucky head shot.

Snipers are also used to get a better eye on the enemy. They call out vital positions, locations, movements, etc. Sniping in real life is much different than on a video game. In real life, the sniper doesn't want to give his/her position away, but rather relay the enemy's location to the infantry members so they can properly eliminate or capture them. Rather in a game, you want to take the shot so you can get a kill, which means points and stats.
