Capturing Mercs

Is anyone else having a problem with CA counting all of your captures. I'm trying to get the badge for capturing 40 Mercs and have been running around with a pepper gun capturing them left and right. I would say that I probably have captured about 150 of them so far and yet my stats show 24. That stat is changing just not at the pace that I am capturing them.

Are you restraining them??

Or are you capturing 20 of them, dying, restarting, capturing 1 and then succeeding the mission? They only count when you restrain them and beat the mission w/o failing.

its easy, just run up and beat the sh*t outa them. if you are weary you will not make it before he takes that first shot, shoot him in a wounding area like the leg or shoulder, that should give you enough time to run up on him.

Or use smoke/ Throw it then run in and punch em.

well make sure you don't do missions in Redeploy because you don't get credit for any of it. other then that i don't know what is up with it not counting...I would try just doing Instant Action Missions all the time.

All good responses but I am not having a problem capturing them, I am having a problem with CA counting them on my stats. I am catching them...restraining them and then beating the mission. The CA stats are only giving me like one capture for every 6 or 7. I had one round where I captured 9 guys and got credit for only one.

Maybe someone else can do an experiment for me. Check your career stats before starting an instant action mission. Then do a mission with the pepperball gun and capture as many as you can. When you beat that instant action mission go to career stats and see how many it gave you credit for capturing. This way maybe I can determine if there is a problem with my game or if everyone is in the same boat.

I ran through Seawasp recover 4 times w/ nothing more than giving my entire team shotties+beanbag ammo...didn't kill anybody, and I had 17 restraints, all of which counted. Maybe faulty disk..only thing I can think of!

If you want a lot of captures, just bring smoke. The smoke in this game actually works, but it's over-exaggerated big time. The mission I get most caps on is Blindside. Throw a smoke in the villages, 2-3 easy caps. Smoke the house with all the weeds around it, 4-5 easy captures. Finally, smoke the tunnels. Another easy 3 or 4. I'd take a 203 smoke, or give your partners a ton. Do this a few times, you can get the knife and cap badges.

Also, if you do this on Snake Pit, you can get the badges for not killing anyone, and the badge for not having any wounded teammates. If you can get a group to do this with you online, it's even easier.

That has nothing to do with his question. I would also guess faulty disc because capturing works for me also.

I'm gona have to agree with you on the faulty disk. I did another mission yesterday and counted 11 captures and only got credited with 2.
