Problems getting online at home.

So heres the story, I come home for Thanksgiving break, and I'm having all sorts of issues getting online. I know the modem works, I know the cord from my modem to my hub works, I know the slot I'm using in the hub works, I know the cord from the hub to my ps2 works, and lastly I know the ps2 will get online using the internet at home. If I plug my ps2 directly into my modem it works, but then I can't have my wireless in the rest of the house on, or anything else other than my ps2. So any time I try to get on with it plugged into the hub I get a timeout error of some sort while trying to get online, I never get as far as the DNAS server thingy.

I don't expect any of you to have any answers because it makes no sense, but if you do I would probably love you. And if you read all of this to try to help, thanks anyway.

i'm guessing it's a ip address problem...look at the stickys in this section for answers...usually what i do is just restart my comp, but some techie fixed my prob by doing something w/ ports
