I'll tell you one more thing. The A.I. in the on-line co-op mode is no joke. We were playing Admiral level. Myself and 3 of my clanmates played the first 4 missions last night. We got through them but took casualties on all of them except the last one. In fact one level, the one where you start off on the one side of a lake and have to get to the other side, take out a bunch of guys then move on to destroy a shooting range and then finally rescue a prisoner in a tower our entire team got wiped out completely. On the replay we still had two of us die before the last two of us were able to finish the mission.
It used to be you had to be almost right in front of them before they would fire on you. Now those guys are spotting me before I spot them from 100 plus yards and shooting with descent accuracy.
By no means is it impossible by so far I like the added challenge. The only thing that is missing is the Mercs laying PMM mines in the bushes.......LOL.

Very true. The bad guys come at you full force. They also prone out in hard to see areas and snipe you. We had to repeat a couple levels when we all died, but it was fun.

I agree. There was 4 of us in my clan going through Co-Op and there were several missions we had to repeat playing on Commander. It is tough, but a welcomed challenge. It's nice to have Mercenary's that actually hide, go prone, and have good aim to play against.

I was playing single player (frist mission) and was crawling up on the first two patrols and they saw me in a bush! They started shooting, hit me once or twice, and then I just f***ed them up with my M4.
And then that mission with the sawmill/shooting range/boat launch, and watch tower; it must've taken me 6 tries to not get spotted, but I was so p*ssed off at that time that I kept going even though the alarm was tripped.
But in short, the AI is much better. Hell, I've even gotten pinned down by three snipers. It was so awesome to actually be pinned down and have to wait for the reload. I was just so happy.

sounds cool, I have not played socom in about 5 months, but I like the idea of a challenge. Single player on S3 and S2 was too easy, just time consuming. S1 was pretty hard, especially the last board, there were like 50 enemies. That would be a fun map to play as co-op

yah wow those mercanaries in offline Admiral are freakin tough. they did a good job by making thos Paramilitants or whatever amazing..sometimes they do better than me..well the game is tuff

the AI imo is way too smart, i think they can go at least 12/4 in a regular ranked room.....

Well, I have officially come across a sniper that can kill me in one hit (SASR). I was walking around (actually jumping) and trying to dodge the snipers shots. Then as I land he hits me in the face and I die. Needless to say I was p*ssed off, but then when I tried again, I sniped his b*tch @ss!
And I've come across a Terrorist with a .50 cal. The only problem was the he sucked at aiming, but he did have a nice spot.

I've had terrorists whip out their Model 18's on me so many times already, its unbelievable. I remember they would always try to shotgun me w/ their sniper even if I was extremely close. Those M18's are one tough ----- to go against!
