Do you think the silencers got gimped?
I was just scrolling through the gun attachments and noticed the HUGE "volume" drop from unsilenced to silenced. Come to think of it, I have yet to use a silenced assault rifle in CA.

**Now I know that volume is lowered with silencers but CA seems to have a much larger drop...

Anyone notice this? I am either onto something or ON something! (puff)

i don't really understand what your saying, But I do know alot of sound options can NOW be toggled by hitting Start during Gameplay.
Mic Volume
Sound Effects Volume
Music Volume
etc. etc. etc.

Silenced weapons seem the same to me...

I was talking about the "bullet volume". Which , I thought, meant SIZE and not sound. But if I am mistaken, then Zipper would be right here. I guess I could see it meaning that too. But if you throw "fire rate" and "fire range" along side it, I dont know how you could not assume that "volume" meant bullet "size".

The only thing I noticed different about silencers is that they make a *pinging* noise when they hit the ground by you.

No volume is not talking about the internal capacity of the bullet. How would that matter when choosing a gun in the game? It has to do with how loud they are, that is all.

Volume in someway refers to the bullet size or impact the bullet makes. The silencers lower the volume for the same reason they lower the range on the weapon.

Because silencers muzzle the sound of the bullet it reduces the velocity at which the bullet leaves the chamber thus reducing the volume and range the bullet would have had without the silencer.

Why would you care about the noise level of an unsilenced weapon? It's going to be loud no matter what, full auto, burst or single shot.

As of the gimping, I believe S:CA has gimped silenced volume.
