Well first the goods:
Xbox 360 has an achievement system which allows you to unlock achievement, sort of like badges which provide Gamer Points for your Gamers Score which is the first thing people see on your profile.
The achievement system encourages you to keep playing the game and unlock all them achievements for your profile/account which is one of the many good things about the Xbox 360, for one when i played the PS2 i just went through the storyline and threw the game to the side, But with the Xbox 360 its like i beat the game but i still have my achievements to unlock, thats what keeps me from throwing that specific game to the side, Achievements can be very challanging at times and you can have alot of fun mastering the game that way.
Also Xbox 360 Live is the ultimate online gaming experience, no system that provides online gaming could stand up to Xbox 360 online, Xbox 360 is the only system that provides Voice Chat on every online game out there, some games also have in game Video Chat such as a few arcade games and some hit titles.
Ever noticed how bad the Sony Feedback was for online games?, well with Microsoft there is a huge diffrence, Feedback does get read and problems are taken care of such as Cheating, Racism, Profanity, etc.
Also with the Xbox 360 you can private chat with someone at ANYTIME so all you have to do is send a Private Chat request and BAM you can talk with your friend, no matter if your playing a game or not, also Xbox 360 has a unique Dashboard which can be customized with themes which can be downloaded for FREE or other themes that can be downloaded with Microsoft Points, so you can have yourself a pimping Dashboard, Another cool feature is Your Xbox 360 can be customized with Detachable Faceplates on the front of the Xbox 360 so you can have your Xbox 360 looking "fly" there are alot of good features on Xbox 360, another thing is that you have a music player one botton away so lets say you don't like the music on the game, just press the ring of light and select music that was put in your Xbox 360 through a CD or Your PC.
One more thing is that Xbox 360 Live has a Marketplace which where you can Download Exclusive content for games like, Weapons, Levels, Maps, Characters, and much more, also Microsoft has said in the future real Hardware will be added to the marketplace like Games, Controllers, etc.
there is also a Xbox Live Arcade, which where you can download Classic and Modern arcade games such as Pacman, Sonic, Dig Dug, etc.
The Bads: 360 can't be kept in a burning area as it may overheat, so yeah my best bets are get that warrenty if you decide to purchase a Xbox 360, Xbox 360 needs to be kept in a cool and ventilated area.
Hardware that is not made by Microsoft should not be place on a 360
Now for Online:
Online has many fun things to do, there are also achievements for online play as well, Cheating is not tolerated online which is a good thing about Xbox Live, Online you can play with your friends easy, you can make a online Match or something like that and invite them by pressing the ring of light and inviting them to your game, or you can join them as well, online is a very fun experience on Xbox 360, its something you won't see on anyother console, not even PS3's Online will be as good as 360's.
Gameplay for games on Xbox 360 is awsome, you will love the gameplay, but basically the control on Xbox 360 is almost like the PS2/PS3's controller, Since PS3 and Xbox 360 are Next Gen consoles then the games they have will most likely have the same Gameplay.
The games on Xbox 360 are very good, Xbox 360 has some amazing Exclusive titles that are tons of fun such as Saints Row, Dead Rising, etc.
The best rated game on Xbox 360 is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which i happen to own, it is truely the best Game i have ever played, no wonder why it got so many rewards, no other game ever got as much awards as Oblivion.
