Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

"Copperhead" is set near a lake nestled near the edge of an alpine forest. The remnants of an abandoned logging company can be seen scattered around the shoreline. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Convoy, Escort, and Control game types in a nighttime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Threshold

"Threshold" is set near an ex-Soviet chemical weapons storage facility located on a rocky island chain. A loading dock provides access to the buildings which lead to an underground storage facility. It is playable with up to 32 players in Suppression, Demolition, Extraction, Convoy, Escort, and Control game types in a daytime setting. Additionally, smaller versions of the Suppression, Extraction, and Demolition game types are also available supporting up to 16 players.

Additionally, a smaller version of the Suppression game type is also available supporting up to 16 players.

The first pack of downloadable maps have been released with 3 new maps that are based on the old times. They are available in the SOCOM 3 Community Center for $5.99 (USD).

There has already been one map pack released to SOCOM gamers that included the SOCOM 2 hdd maps: Liberation, After Hours, and Last Bastion. There is another map pack that Zipper has announced to be released "soon" that consists of the SOCOM 1 maps: Abandoned, Blizzard, Blood Lake, and Desert Glory. These will be playable on Combined Assault.

13.) Will credit card verification still be used in SOCOM: Combined Assault? What about next generation SOCOM? Any chance of it being taken out?
A: Credit card verification will still be used for SOCOM: Combined Assault though we plan to expand what non-verified players can do online. Unfortunately we can’t comment on any next-generation verification plans.

S3 maps will still have the night/day option. CA maps won't have that option, they'll have a permanent setting, just like the maps in Socom 1 and 2.
