Character Customization?

Ubisoft is making Assassin's Creed if i'm not mistaken, and that game with be AMAZING on PS3.

I don't know what the rules are about photocopying a scan of an article but my clan mate got this exclusive article today off of the GB forums.
it says you can customize, read the part highlighted in black..This is just getting me more hyped for this game

I hope that's true...that is one of the features that i always liked about syphon filter: the omega strain.....eventhough the gameplay wasn't as good online and i really would have liked to have seen in the socom franchise. Nothing too flashy really, just a little bit to kind individualize/personalize your character while playing.

I hope you get to choose your hat and stuff because then you can actaully make your guy where a helmet lol or maybe a boonie hat or just a normal military hat...

I have that same magazine and read that same stuff (customization), but decided not to type it up and get people all hyped up for customization only to have it not be true and then have me be hated by all for eternity.

I'm calling bullsh.t on this. Either the article is wrong, or that was an early idea that was later scrapped.

Think about it: This is the fourth edition of Socom on the PS2. Never before has there been character customization, although it's a top request from the gamers. If they were including it on S:CA, why the hell would it not be heavily advertised, instead of just a little blurb in a magazine???

The game comes out in about 2 weeks, we would've heard about this before. We would've seen more on it.

Rick, do you seriously have that magazine in your hands? What magazine is it? After reading the article from the scan, it just seems like it's a fake. All the pictures used are and have been on the net for a while, and the captions sound like they've been written by a 14yr. old. And who the hell puts the page number and the magazine name overtop one of the pictures?

Ok, I'm back, and the magazine is: Game Informer
The issue is: 162 (October '06)
The covers picture is: Devil May Cry 4 (forgot main characters name)
The page is: 88
The article is right next to (to the left of) a Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 game article and a Cash Money Chaos game.

And the thing that says "Last Months Issure Of G.I." Soaked is the person, not the magazine.

You don't need any more proof do you?




And if this is true, maybe Zipper wanted to give us something special for putting up with their bullsh!t for so long. And they didn't tell us just in case it got scrapped and we wouldn't hate them more.

Nope, I believe you. I still question the truth of the article, again because something as big as that you'd think we'd be hearing more about. I would'nt complain if it actually happened, it's #1 on my wishlist for future socoms.

Edit: I just posted a comment on the Socom blog asking them to confirm or deny this in their next post. We'll see if it happens.
