Oblivion is probably the greatest RPG ever invented on the face of the earth.

Yes, if you've ever heard of The Elder Scrolls Moorwind for the Xbox and Computer, it's the sequal to that if you will. But yes, I agree....the greatest RPG ever.

LIES, ALL LIES!
It'd only be the best RPG if it was online.... THAT would make it good.

I'm not really trying to defend it because it's a great game or whatever but that's not true. If it was online it would ruin the reality that is Oblivion. It's great because you interact with everyone and do so many things and all the people make it seem so real. Talking to people online wouldn't make it feel like such a good game and would ruin the whole thing. And also all online quests suck compared to offline quests. Online quests can be done by a high level for you, or they are just BSed so you get the reward. Offline quests are always done for a good story. And Oblivion has by far the bets story I've ever seen... In a way. It doesn't copare to the intense emotional drama and cool scenes that games like Final Fantasy has, however there is so much story and you can really pick your path through the entire game, which just makes it amazing.
K I'M DONE TYPING my hands hurt ;)

Allright, you gave your points, now hear out mine.
The game would be a good game if it was online, because when I'm done playing against the computer... EVERYTHING GETS BORING! There's nothing to do afterwards, because you've done beaten the game. After the storyline's shot up, and all quests are completed (which couldn't take more than a month to take), all that's left to do is to go hunting, to go cave diving, and.... that's it.
I want to be able to interact with NEW people all the time, the only thing that's capable of doing that is an online version. I say they make 2 versions of the game, to please those who want new experiences, and to please those who like the same old sh*t all the time.

Okay okay. But there is a difference between online games and offline games for exactly one reason: You are supposed to beat offline games. The Final Fantasy series was great, and then FF11 came out and changed the whole series. It was all always a big storyline and then you finally beat it, and then FF11 is never-ending and you do the same raids and team up and all that all for what? New weapons? New armor? OMG YAY!
It's great to beat a game, but that's it. There's no reason to go on. I understand what you're saying, but imagine Oblivion online? Everybody would be murdering townspeople for fun and such because they are bored or whatever? It wouldn't even work because you wouldn't be able to finish a quest because some random idiot killed the guy you need to give something to. It'd have to be redone ALL OVER. I get what you're saying Mr. Soggums, but Oblivion offline is better than an online version.
