The only time ill try to QS on those maps is when theres only about 6 people in the game and i fell like useing the 3x scope, sometimes you'll be better off shotgunning with a sniper in antenora and citadel. Other than that ill never try it. But on every other map im usally useing a sniper.

Might be a bit late for this topic, when I started seeing a large number of quick snipers popping up, I jumped on thinking everyone would think I was cool and what not. So I put my settings at the 100-100-50 instead of finding out what I liked, and started trying to use my index finger and a one shot sniper on EVERY map. Had I not tried to copy everyone else I might have my own style and use my thumb, but my Index finger now hangs around up there even when I'm using guns without scopes. If you can get used to it, you can become considerably faster (I say considerably but it should only be noticable when youre up against another QSer). I find when in quick snipe battles with another QSer, I often straffe, straffe, stop, straffe (not a fixed pattern) and then as soon as I see their feet leave the ground, I jump and shoot them while theyre still in mid air, dunno if you can do that with thumb, but at least you dont get called a "sit sniper".

Because I tried to copy everyone else though, I would ONLY use the high scope, thought I'd be totally trashed if I didnt, and not until a few weeks ago did I find out how much more beneficial I am to my team when I use a med scope (Quick question, is the first magnification 3x on med scope? or is it a 4x?) When I noticed that I also found I didnt need to jump every friggin time I wanted to snipe someone....

Do it the way YOU want to, dont try to force it, it will just take longer to get your skills up.

Not to much anyone can do to help you with that, just practice and get quicker that's about it. Or pick up an auto.

just scope in and hopefully they will enter your crosshairs. Or when up close,
just run backwards and snipe em

Get up your reflexes, and if you do it enough, you will find yourself estimating human behavior  And you will kill them without knowing exactly how you did it

Practice, Practice, Practice.

well often "estimating human behavior" is waiting for them to jump and then index them when they land. So (dude u replied to) if you actually want to get better you gotta predict where they run, not where they land.

Don't make the first move. Wait for them to make the first move, miss their shot and get them while their reloading. You can also wait for them to jump, but people will usually call you a "nub" for it.

No.. If you wait for them to jump first you're smart. All you have to do is wait for them to land and if you're fast enough index them or just jump right when they're about to land and jumpsnipe them. The easiest way to counter a jumpsniper is by indexing them immediatley(sp?) when they hit the ground or if you're less talented scope in when they are coming down from their jump and kill them then.

Also if you have cover use it. If they jump run behind cover and then jump out and they may come out right when you jump and you could line you're shot up with they're body. Also corners work excellent if you're focused on indexing because if you miss a shot you can easily take cover behind a wall or box or building then walk out and take another shot or take out you're pistol depending on you're instinct. Try to predict the players next move like if they'll straff or if they'll jump or when they'll jump. If they are going to jump off something higher off the ground all you have to do is keep moving then when they are coming near to the ground stop and index them right as they land and you should be able to kill them. Also use elevated ledges to you're advantage due to you can jump off of them and kill them and make it look pretty but it's easier in my opinion when shooting downward at the enemy instead of shooting up a slant.
