Need for Speed: Carbon (360)

i just downloaded the carbon demo from the marketplace and so far i'm highly impressed.

1) this new version of the nfs series drift mechanics are much more refined and now prevent an actual challenge, well to me they do anyway but i always sort of cheated by fishtailing the entire way around the course in the underground games.

2) you actually get a semi-realistic feeling of speed and momentum this time around.

3) not sure since this is just a demo, but it looks like this one might have car damage that does something beyond just looking bad.

3) the autosculpting. WOW! this one single feature is more than enough to make me buy this game, yes it is THAT cool!

anyone else have any opinions on the demo yet?

Graphics are just fantastic

I don't like the fact that the whole game takes place at night

I like the Most Wanted game play

I don't think they have those things where you hit something and it falls on the cops, surely hope so

The customization is off the hook

The new drift challanges are mad fun

Pretty crazy game this is been on my list for 7 months now

check out this little little tidbit about a new online mode, i just found this in the hands-on review for game informer magazine.

"Pursuit Knockout differs from Lap Knockout where the driver who’s in last place at the end of a lap becomes a cop. The cops’ job is to screw up the rest of the drivers by crashing into them. Cops have two distinct advantages. The first is that they can go through lighted barriers so short cuts are readily available, and second, cop cars handle better and are faster than normal cars. Cutting off a leader or creating a road block to stop a few cars in a short cut is beyond satisfying."
