256MB PCI Express x16 nVidia Geforce 6800 (Soon to be a BFG Geforce 512 mb 7900, Was looking at the BFG Geforce 1 gig 7950, but I would need a better processer to even be able to use it at 100%, and right now it is pointless to have 1 gig of video memory)

I have the same mouse. That kb looks like such a waste of money. I was considering it, but how often do I look down at my kb to check stats and stuff to make the LCD screen useful.

It shows the CPU and RAM usage. So you know how much ram a game takes up, or if your computer is slowing down. And you can also tell when your PC froze. Also some stuff shows up on the screen when you are playing a game. Like ammo, status, what not. Only a few games support this. Only game that I played that had this was Prey. Whatever, It is sort of usefull at times. But my brother was the one that bought the keyboard. So it doesnt really effect me. The programmable keys on the left are pretty cool. and I like the blue light under the keys. The volume, play, and stop buttons etc on it are pretty usefull too. Also the keyboard has 2 USB ports, which brings up the total of 12 USB, 6 on the back of my tower, 2 inside the tower, 2 on the keyboard, and 2 on the front of the tower.

And looking at that pic again, I realised my speaker on my monitor was about to fall off.

Cool. Right now I am just upgrading my PC. My PC is good and all. Just needs a new graphics card, and a new graphics card means new power supply and new cooling system. So It will cost quite a bit of money.

Then I will eventually buy another gig of ram.

Just upgrading this stuff mainly to play battlefield 2142, and huxley. I really dont know if my graphics card now can handle huxley, the most would probably be at lowest settings. The BFG Geforce 512mb 7900 should be more then enough to run it on max. And the graphics card will hold me off for awhile. I would get the 1 gig graphics card, but I would need a lot better processor. Before, graphics cards could barely keep up with the processor, now it is the other way around, lol.

I just need 2-4 more paychecks and Im buying everything I think. Ill post pictures whens its all done like I said. If you really want I can post newegg links to the things Ive picked out. For my vid card im just going to be getting 1 geforce 7600gt for now. When I save up money ill prolly buy another for an sli set up.

I wont post pics of my computer because basically its a Compaq which means its pretty crap, and it is.

But, the reason I posted is that Punx said he was building a PC. If you have only just started, why not post a basic tutorial on how to build one for people who might want to give it a try themselves?

My uncle told me how to do it a few years ago, it wasnt too hard but I will end up putting all the wrong stuff in the wrong place etc.

Just a thought.

Its quite easy to build a computer just have to buy alll the right parts. If you get that then putting it together would be fun
