That is correct. I think there's 4 map packs..one is free, I think it's still free..the newest one cost 800 points I believe, then the 2 others are the 2 oldest map packs and I'm not sure if those still cost any points. If they do I'd take a guess at 800 points each? I don't know how to check since I have them all already.

Alright I just took a look online and there's 4 map packs.
Legendary map pack is 600 points
Mythic map pack is 800 points
Then the Heroic map pack is free, and the cold storage map pack(that one is only one map), is free.
Then for playlists you can play:
Ranked there's this:
Lone Wolves - don't think you need any map pack to play
Team Slayer - Need Heroic Mythic and Legendary map packs
team Doubles - need all map packs
Squad Battle - need Heroic map pack
MLG - Need Heroic map pack
Team SWAT - need all map packs
Team Snipers - Need Heroic and Legendary map packs
Then there's unranked playlists:
Action Sack - need all map packs
Rumble pit - need all map packs
Social Slayer - don't need any map pack to play
Social Team DLC - need Heroic, Legendary, and Mythic map packs
Social Skirmish - don't need any map pack to play
Multi Team - need Heroic, Legendary and Mythic map packs
Social Big team - need Heroic, Legendary and Mythic map packs

Marvin, it's like $20 (someone convert to Knuck moneys) for 3 map packs, plus there is another map that was released for free on Bungie Day last year. Focus mentioned this in another thread. Heroic map pack is free. Legendary is 600. Mythic is 800. Cold Storage is free.
