The Watchmen: The End is Nigh game comes out on XBLA this Wednesday.

March 2, 2009 - This week's Xbox Live Arcade offering is Watchmen: The End is Nigh, a 3D action game that ties in with the release of the upcoming film, which debuts on Friday.
Developed by Deadline Games and published by Warner Bros., Watchmen will be released Wednesday morning for 1,600 Microsoft Points ($20). The beat-'em-up casts you as either Rorschach or Nite Owl and sends you onto the city streets to take down the prison escapee Underboss. Play through the six-chapter campaign mode alone or with a friend in split-screen co-op.
Not sure if this game will be good or not. Hopefully it is. It's a new approach releasing it through XBL instead of EA putting out another half-azzed movie game for $60 bucks.
Too bad there's no Online co-op. Split Screen co-op is Blahhhh
Ugh... I downloaded the demo for this game a few days ago, and quite honestly, I thought the combat system sucked ass. It felt much too sluggish and poorly executed, considering they constantly surround the two playable characters with a good number of opponents almost everywhere you go through.
I would have probably been more upset with the game if I happened to be a fan of the Watchmen storyline... but I am not, so I just think the game simply isn't worth a $20 from my wallet.

yeah i loved the movie...not so much the arcade game. if it wasnt 20 bucks id get it but 20 bucks for what i played with the demo is a little steep. i was say graphically its descent but controls....as creep stated were a little blah.

It's impressive for an Arcade download but for $20 bucks...No Thanks. I played the demo and the same 2 prisoners kept attacking ( Bald Dude / Long Haired Dude ), and it turned into a snorefest fast.
Maybe if they released this $20 download before Rockstar launched The Lost and Damned, it would have been a different story... to me, that add-on officially raised the bar, as far as DLC goes.
