After playing this online pretty much the whole weekend and all of yesterday there a lot of glitches online just as there were in the first one and the chainsaw in this one is way too easy to get kills with. You could be a good five feet from some one and some how the animation starts and you’re sucked in or sometimes it doesn't even show the animation and you just die. Either way this is by far my favorite online game but they do need to release a patch to work out the copious amounts of bugs they have in it.
Finallly had some time to beat Gears 2 last night. The ending was no where near as difficult as the first one. In fact, it's not even comparable. Enjoyable nontheless and I'll be going through it on insane in another month or two while I enjoy the multiplayer.

It's pretty much a scripted battle that is impossible to lose....and scripted battles are lameeee.
Since I'm sure everyone's beaten it by now, there's been something that's been bugging me.
Did anyone else have a huge WTF moment when the locust queen turned out to be a chick with a light English accent? I mean, the locusts are like these big mutant bug dudes that talk like the Hulk, and then she's the one that's running the show?
I felt like they just gave up on the story of the 2nd half of the game. After you make it through the worm, it goes downhill.
Driving the Brumak was my favorite part of the campaign.

Yea I have to agree with that, I was expecting this huge monster looking thing then come to find out it was some small blonde lady. If I had to guess as to why, it would be just as you said because the locust are big mutants that talk like the hulk, they are good warriors but can't actually govern them selves which is why the queen was human. That is just my guess. This and WTF happened to dizzy are some of the things they need to clear up in the next one, along with does Marcus ever get to bang Anya, this is another burning that should be addressed.
I guess they made it on purpose just to make another sequel. I was pretty disappointed of the last battle. I mean, RAAM was a such a badass guy with a nice suit.

I think it would have been better off if the lady was more or less a speaker for the queen. Then the queen would be some extremely massive locust who does nothing but pop out babies all day. :p

I wanted it to be some wicked looking locust like Skorge. That was a big bummer seeing how stupid she looked.
Hopefully they'll change it in GOW3 and put a locust mask on her to make her look cool. And then when she's close to death, her mask comes off.

Not really, seeing as how it was pretty much revealed at the end of Gears 1 that the locust queen had an English accent. If you ask me, the locust queen and Anya have similar sounding voices... perhaps there's a connection there?
I'm thinking that there will be some kind of reveal in Gears 3 as to the reason why she speaks more "humanly" than the other locusts do.
