Funnest racing game I ever played. Its over 1 GB download from marketplace.. but worth it. Perfect control system.
Damn it !
Not another game. This one snuck up on me and I have alot of credit at Gamestop. I do aways like have an active racer in my library. From what I read the MP sounds wicked fun. I love these type of games with the surround sound on full blast.
At first when i heard about this game i was like "oh no another gay atv racing game" but then i saw the commercial (yesterday) and was wow'ed, it looked amazing, so i'm going to rent it before this month is over, it looks insane and unrealistic which is good because that means more fun :D
Holy Wow ! I love this game ! It's got the speed of a Burnout game. Breathtaking graphics and jumps that give you the elevator effect all through a race. Some tracks are insanely hard and I'm sure DLC for this game will be good stuff. This is the first racing game of this kind that I've played since ATV Off Road Fury on the PS2 and after reading several reviews for this game I realized that the creators of that game were involved in Pure's. So I'm not surpirsed as to why I like it so much. Creating ATV's is pretty cool and assigning them names. I made one called The Buccaneer that's all decked out in Buc's colors. You can create different Quad's for different styles of racing or freestyle. The only negative is racing online is very unbalanced. Unless you've played the hell out of the SP and unlocked a bunch of Quad upgrades you'll be eating dirt clouds online. Online matches should give you the option to use custome Quad's or let people use Universal's and let the gameplay rely on players skills and track knowledge. Like I said Unless you've played the hell out of the SP you'll be getting dirt in your teeth online.
The soundtrack blows . Is it me or do I do not know one single band on game soundtracks anymore ?? So I scratched the in-game music and I've been putting on some Slayer, Sepultura, & Fear Factory doing mad jumps and racking up the W's. I guess because Disney Studios Interractive is involved and they want feel-good bubble gum bands. This game is worth a rental at the very least. This is an ideal Gamefly game.
I've probably raced 10 MP races and have experienced no lag whatsoever. Haven't came in 1st on an online race yet but no lag. I don't really expect it to. Games like this don't have the overwhelming popularity of a shooter.
I haven't seen or heard anything about this game until I read this thread, then this morning I've seen like 10 commercials for it, lol. It doesn't look that bad. I'm not into racing games of any type, but this one caught my eye, I'm going down to the video store in like 15 mins, if they have a copy of it in I'm going to pick it up for the night.
I just got my hands on this game on Saturday, and it gets pretty tough to win around the middle of the game. I have to say, Disney did a great job of snatching up this developer, because Pure looks like it could be Bonafide Franchise hit.
All i have to say is this : This was everything Motorstorm should have been. Even without the tricks.
