Seems like it would be a blast with friends/online though.
Even online it's really nothing special. Unless your playing with friends most of the time you get into a game with 3 retards who all like to go there own way, all while saying nothing over the mic. I can't tell you the times that I've played with 3 kids who were utterly stupid, running all around like morons, setting off every car alarm, and alerting the horde when no one else is ready, resulting in everyone's death...not fun.
Aside from idiots who ruin the online (much like everything else online) the maps and weapons are extremely limited. Like I said in the thread E started about what games to get, there's really only 4-5 maps and 4-5 guns too chose from. Maybe it's just me, but in a zombie apocalypse I want more that 4 guns. Maybe they'll release some nice DLC like new maps and weapons. If that is the case, I'll buy this, if not it's going back to the movie store Monday.
I'll say that this game has become less entertaining to me. After the shine wears off this game is pretty much standard. Valve really could've gone alot more on the graphic side.
I won't get rid of it any time soon because surely this going to be some DLC but I agree playing with friends is the only way to go.

It's OK... but that's really it. The shine wears off really quickly. It's a decent game but it meeds more. More weapons, more levels, more monsters. Maybe Left 4 Dead 2 (Left 8 Dead..?) will be what this could have been.

Actually there is quite a bit to the story and it can be a little confusing... you'll see what I mean as you progress through the game. It helps if you watched the movie :)
