I've been watching this game for some time now. Similar controls to Counterstrike (Which was one of my favourite Xbox games), co-op horror survival, and lots, and lots of zombies to kill. Not to mention the amount of blood I've seen in the videos...
I'm sure it'll be quite the process to find some decent partners to play through the game with, but nonetheless I'm stoked!
Here is part one of a demo. If it interests you, the rest are in the sidebar, for your viewing pleasure.

Those who pre-order Left 4 Dead now will be given a code to play the Demo on Thursday November 6th, twelve days before the official release.
The public Demo for XBL comes out on the 11th.
So I played the 4 Person Co-Op MP Demo this morning and found it to be enjoyable. One thing you can count on Valve for is great graphics and definetly awesome character animations and expressions.
Right from the get go it reminded me of several zombie flicks , Land of the Dead, 28 Days Later , and Night of the Living Dead. While the game is loading it puts your characters on a movie poster with your XBL live name playing that certain character you selected. It also reminded me of a Resident Evil game on crack . Zombies / Infected are pretty fast when they see you and are mutated in certain ways. When they catch up to you instead of biting you they kinda drunken box to death.
The Co-Op mode I played starts you out in an apartment gathered around a table of weapons that you pick after you choose your character. Controls were pretty good and very similiar to Half-Life 2 controls. One thing about the controls I really liked was the Quick Turn button when you press RB you instantly turn around 180 degrees.
I only got to play the demo for about 5-6 minutes before I had to go to work, but I really enjoyed what little I played.
I be playing this all day when I get home until midnight when I go get Gears of War.

I dunno what it is, but something about this game just screams "wannabe Resident Evil" to me. There's just nothing about this game that makes me say, "oh yeah... I MUST play this game".
I'm not trying to say that it won't be a good game, but it's just a game that I don't have any time to play - simply because of all of the other games that have been released, as of late.
I just finished the Single Player portion of the Demo.
Choose whatever difficulty - Easy, Normal, Advanced, Expert . Same thing goes for Multiplayer. Choose anyone 1 of 4 Players with 2 different demo levels No Mercy: Apartments & No Mercy: Subway.
It really doesn't matter which character you pick other than skin preference. None seem to have have any unique abilites. In the demo it says the final product is supposed to have 20 maps / levels and 10 different weapons to choose from as well as an assortment of throwable explosives.
Zombies / Infected are wicked aggressive and are more animated than in Dead Rising. You go through the Apartment and go room to room and some are just wandering around, while others are banging on doors. You'll go into some empty room then all of a sudden dozens of zombies / infected will run through the wall. They'll run at you in large groups like the zombies / infected in Dawn of the Dead and 28 weeks later. Walk around on the streets and bump into the wrong car and set off a car alarm and they'll come out of everywhere to get at you. When they charge it's overwhelming at first then you get used to it. Zombies / Infected are busted up into classes.
Smokers - Release a poinous gas when close
Hunters - Grab you with tongues that drag yopu to them.
Boomers - Puke up or explode Bile on you and when they do it puts off a scent that will send dozens of zombies / infected after you. Kind of like when a bee stings you and releases a pheromones that attracts the others to that spot. Pretty cool concept.
Friendly A.I. seemed pretty responsive and smart. Going through the apartment with three other players can feel claustrophobic. Especially, when it's dark and using a flash light. It might not be on the demo but there was no mission objectives for the levels. It's only get from the start of the level to the end and survive which makes it kind of dull. Being I'm a big fan of everything Zombie this game is a must for me. I just don't how long it will keep my interest after I finish all the levels.
Edit - Excuse my foolishness. I used every weapon avaiable in the demo before I wrote this except for the shotgun. You can blow limbs off and it's awesome. It's also pretty cool how it's different every time you play through it.

Gamestop and their stupid loophole, lol. Where you got to request a code because you pre-ordered it, you had to put in a seperate code for them to send you the actual code to download it.....and you could just make up anything and they will send you one, lol. Never pre-ordered it.
I downloaded the demo earlier this morning from Xbox Live, and I must admit that I am more impressed with the game now that I've had some time to play it. The only problem that I have right now is finding a way to come up with the $60 that I'd need to get my hands on a copy... seeing as how I know of a few people that plan on getting the game once it's released. I think it's kind of boring playing it with the three AI controlled teammates... even though they actually seem to have a high level of artificial intelligence.
The SP player A.I. is way smarter than some of people I've played online with.
I get a kick out of walking into a room and watching the Zombies mope around and doing whatever.
The game's definitely more intense than I originally thought it would be... when waves of those infected come sprinting at you, it's like a total "holy sh**!!" kind of moment.
I wanna get this game, but I've already dropped $120 on Gears2 and World at War. Not to mention I just paid my $180 phone bill and gave my fiance $100 to help her fix her car. Damn you November, too many good games coming out...

Yeah but having GoW2, WaW, L4D makes for a good upcoming 3 months of stagnant releases ( December, January & February ) IMO . I have my Sci Fi Shooter , my Military Shooter and my Zombie Apocalypse Odyssey.
