What irks me is that this game started out as a free half-life2 mod for pc and I have been watching it for over a year. Now, Valve decided to fund them because of all the attention the project was getting from gamers they have taken it under their production name to reap the benefits by charging not only 360 gamers (which makes sense), but also PC gamers for what is a Mod of the Counter-Strike Source engine. The game looks great and I want it, but I do not want to shell out $50 for a mod of a game I already own.
I have my reservations about the game as well. This happens when you try new things. Still, there is no reason to release a game when it isn't ready just so you can get it out. I am not too worried just because it is Valve, and they really take their time. Either way I am all over it. I love anything zombie.
Valve went on record the other day by stating that there will not be a PS3 version of this game in the works.
Color me disappointed.
Technical issues maybe? im guessing if it is a counterstrike mod, they probably wanted to dev it for pc and 360 which is the easiest, cash in, and laugh straight to the bank?

I visited the Microsoft's website and the release date is 11/20/2008... Is it true? Man, I just want this game for 4 players co-op. This game is going to my list.

Valve is really flip-floppy with the PS3.
About a half a year ago, that main fat guy at Valve, can't think of his name, said the PS3 is a complete waste of time to develop, and essentially called it a piece of ****. I suspect it was just because the PS3 =/= a pc. Either that or Sony stole his donuts.
Well, recently he put out a statement that the PS3 was becoming more successful, and they would be glad to learn the hardware and etc. So that opens up the possibility of a valve game (ported by them) showing up on the PS3 at a later date, but not as soon as Left 4 Dead.
Anyone seen the new videos for this game? They are awesome, and the 4 player co-op is going to be fun as hell, it's just to bad I don't have 4 friends that live close enough to me to come over and play it, lol. I'm going to make my fiance play this with me, whether she likes it or not!
I'm pretty sure that's how it's going to be and there's supposed to be a multiplayer mode also I believe. Between this and GoW2 gaming is going to be great in November.
