I see Irish on, but Idle. I need some playmates. I queued my download online while I was in class this morning, but haven't played Survival/New versus.
I'm seeing times of 80-100 minutes on some of the Leaderboards. Holy shi-.
Nobody was on when I got on so I just shut my TV off and watched last night's 24. I'll probably be playing until I have to go to work and then I'll definitely get on after.
Update for PC version just came out. Update took 1 minute and 45 seconds. :)
The update took just about as long for me on the 360 yesterday morning.
Overall, I like the new mode... gets pretty chaotic very quickly, I might add. I think my favorite map to play this new survival mode in might be either the Lighthouse, the Crane, or the Warehouse.
Pretty much the best tactic on most maps is to get in a relatively secure small room or corner, and use dual pistols on all of the normal infected, but everyone get a shotgun and shoot the tank when it comes. The tank will die quickly, and will most likely only hit someone one or two times.
Your shotgun ammo will not run out within 10 minutes if only used on a tank, and the initial medpack and pills will be more than enough.
Creep and myself found a couple good spots. We just need to better strategize them.
Yeah... no doubt... and it would've also been easier if the two of us weren't occasionally left with one or two AI controlled teammates between rounds of survival. I think one of the better spots in survival mode might be up in the rafters of the Warehouse map, after you set some gas canister and propane tank traps down on the floor...

I didn't even know they had DLC for this game until I logged on last night around 9 or 10. I downloaded it last night, attempted to play it, and then my game got stupid. It would load, wait to play survival mode on last stand, and the shit would freeze, again and again. After like a half hour of trying over, and over again, I called it a night, but maybe I'll try it again later tonight.
Is the survival mode anything like horde on Gears? From what I've read online and the tiny description in game, that's all that comes to mind. Only real gripe I've heard from the new survival mode is that there are too many tanks?
