50 hours of running around and pushing a series of buttons to do something then sitting back watching your guy do one thing is just blah. My friends are big on Final Fantasy and after watching them I just don't get how it is so appealing.

Actually, the engine was once called the White Engine, but was later renamed Crystal Tools when it went MULTIPLATFORM to the 360, PC, and even Wii. But that does not mean FF13 is going to the 360. The engines on each specific platform are still somewhat different from one another since the engine was first built from the ground up taking advantage of the PS3 hardware. Since it was programed completely for the PS3, it probably had to be tweaked and messed around with to properly work on other systems. They plan on using crystal tools on their upcoming multiplatform MMORPG, although FF13 will be the one that showcases off the engine the best.

I Know i do sound like a sterotype because i like halo, but thats what it seems like form reading the posts before me. Majority of Xbox fans will never say a RPG is better then A FPS thats my real Opinion.

Well thats how the demographic is going now, especially with the generation that were weened on ps2 and xbox. They tend not to know or care much about older games and generally like their games big, loud, and action packed. Which is why you cant even make money off a traditional rpg, it has to be an action or mmorpg styled game for it to sell, or resident evil being halfway like gears of war for newer generations to like it. Its all across the board, not just xbox owners.

It's swings and roundabouts. Some RPGs are better than some FPSs. Other RPGs are called Two Worlds.
I love both styles of games to be honest, but in general, I prefer RPGs to FPSs. The best RPGs are far better than the best FPSs anyway, IMO. Saying that, I just don't like the FF games. I might rent FFXIII when it's eventually out... perhaps it will change my mind, but I dunno. Recent Squenix games have been just, meh anyway. I don't expect much different from FFXIII.
Whatever. It's no good stereotyping an entire userbase, you tool. Nobody has sold their soul by porting FFXIII to 360. Heaven forbid a company might actually be trying to turn a profit and actually want to share their game with a wide audience. There's nothing really to be gained by swearing allegiance to one format anymore, and it's becoming more foolish than ever to be fiercely loyal to one. Again, IMO.
Anyway, all that aside, I may be wrong on this one, but doesn't the 360 have a fair amount more RPGs than the PS3? It certainly did at one point anyway. That doesn't really tie in with your theory.
