i want to get Nascar 08 cuse but i find out that Nascar 09 comes out 6/10/08 and im wandering if i should just buy it or keep renting it and i dont know if I waill rent it so much that i should just buy it ........OR........wait for 09 to come out......Or just buy 08 and buy 09 when it comes out

Well your first order of business would be to buy a grammar guide... As for your question, I guess just wait till 09 since it comes out in about 4 months.

I was about to post something to the same effect, haha. I thought Nascar 08 was an all time low for EA, it went way off of the good Nascar games like Chase for the Cup.

For anyone that doesn't know, the demo came out for Nascar 09. It's way better than Nascar 08, you can tell in the first 5 seconds that the game play is much improved. The only complaint I have is that I wish there was a camera view that zooms out a tad more on the car. I hate having my car so close up, but it's really just a personal problem.

Well that's good news, I'm like Xx_Anywhere13, where I think that EA has completely destroyed NASCAR gaming ever since about 2005. It's a pretty big disappointment being a race fan, too. I have seen a few commercials over the weekend (actually while watching the Sprint Cup yesterday) and it does look like an improvement, but I'm gonna probably rent it before putting some real dollars into another crappy race game.

Well the franchise itself is certainly on a revival path I think, but not so much with the game, sadly. IGN's review was pretty unfavorable. I downloaded the demo and think I'll have to agree -- it's a big snoozefest.
Luckily this failure has been headlined with Jeff Gordon and not someone more awesome like... Kyle Busch.

Personally I think IGN was a little rough on Nascar 09. Yes, the spotters are terribly inaccurate as always, but the graphics and playability are way up from last game. Game Informer gave Nascar an 8, which is right around where I'd put it. There are still things to work on though....
