I am...I didn't buy Halo 3 for the gameplay, nor did I buy Kingdom Hearts 2 for the gameplay. The storyline is usually what interests me simply because video games, no matter how hard the hardest difficulty is, are not really a challenge.
The selling point for Gears 2...for you.......is the story?
That is honestly the first time I have ever seen that.
im probably going to play it on Normal the first time.
Well, obviously... that's the same difficulty that I started with on the original game, as well. I'm just trying to say that the game's toughest difficulty was a challenge... personally speaking, of course.
You don't think the original Gears of War on its insane difficulty was a challenge?
I thought it was pretty challenging, personally... I'm not ashamed to admit when a game on its hardest difficulty challenges me.
Maybe I didn't use the correct word. Yes, games can be challenging, but I never sit down and say, "this is going to take a while." I beat the first gears on Insane in like a week (probably less). I beat all the Halo games on Legendary with ease. I just beat COD4 on veteran difficulty today (started last Wednesday) and didn't think it was that bad once I got used to dying after being shot once or twice haha

It's not that captivating, but I find it interesting, yes. I don't know why certain games (like Halo) get bashed so severely. I enjoy every aspect of every game I play for the most part.

Reason: I'm a noob.
i watched it also. i am still going to buy it. that would be dumbed to buy a game for one 60 second part. that ending doesn't tell you the story. so no it would not be stupid to buy. so just relax.
You are in the minority on this one. It certainly would be stupid to buy the game in my opinion. Would you watch a movie if you knew how it would end? Maybe...but what would be the point?

Would you watch a [insert your favourite sport here] match if you knew who was going to win? I would. I'd try my damndest to keep myself from finding out what was going to happen though. I don't think knowing the outcome negates playing the game/watching the match/film, but it does make it less exciting than it would otherwise be, and therefore I'd rather keep the suspense. I haven't watched the end of GoW2, and I won't until I beat the game, either.
No I wouldn't watch a sports match if I knew who would win. What would it matter who did what if you knew at the end who won? If I knew that despite Endy Chavez's insane catch at the left field wall in game 7 of the NLCS would have done nothing to spark the Mets offensively against the Cardinals I would say, "so what?" Knowing the ending ruins everything except maybe a person's life (because we all know we're going to die).

hahaha
Not only was it a homerun robbing catch, but a snowcone homerun robbing catch.
I agree with the majority. Why would you want to know what someone got you for Christmas, or an ending to a movie, etc.? I want to at least be surprised or get excited a little bit over a game or movie and not find out the ending before hand.
I loved the first Gears, I never get tired of it. I'm so pumped for 2, but I hear it seems to be lacking of some things. Nothing I'm to afraid of, a game is always lacking of something. Can't wait to see the *** you get to kick in this game. Can anyone agree with wasting their lives on this game for a few days?
It's hard for me to think that Gears 2 will actually be out this coming Friday... I sure hope that the GameStop that I have mine preordered at does a midnight launch!
