I loved the first Gears of War so I guess it goes without saying that I'm pumped up for this one. Honestly, everything about this game looks amazing to me. I'm very excited about the environmental damage and I look forward to seeing how it is implemented in the final game. I agree, the water does look quite amazing. And I thought Bioshock's water looked good. "We build up our defenses for so long, only for that to be what allows us to be controlled". -
I LOVED it...and played it three times through with different friends.
I'm REALLY looking forward to playing 2. -

I still have yet to complete the first game on Insane. I don't have Live and everyone I've played split screen with has been awful. I should really get on doing that before the 2nd game comes out. "We build up our defenses for so long, only for that to be what allows us to be controlled". -

I'm just glad that I had my brother-in-law plays on Xbox Live, so we could knock out the cop-op story on insane... would have been an extremely tough thing to do otherwise.

Heh, yeah it's pretty tough. I'm at the beginning of Act 4 and just can't seem to defeat those two Boomers. One of my friends has beaten everything but RAAM by himself. I must not be outdone. "We build up our defenses for so long, only for that to be what allows us to be controlled". -

I finished Gears on insane solo, without too much trouble (although the wretch rush and train gun areas were definite pad-through-the-window moments!) RAAM is nigh on unbeatable on insane without a little crazy engine abuse trickery, though. There's a very specific (and dirty) way to beat him, but it's not pretty. Youtube will help your friend, as it did me, I'm not ashamed to say! There's no way I could have beaten the game without it.
That's actually something I wouldn't mind being changed in GOW2. I ploughed through the whole campaign on my own on Insane only to be driven to half-cheating by an almost invincible final boss. Hard is good, as long as it's still fun. RAAM was definately not fun on insane. -

General Raam is still no match for 1,638 torque bows to his face... isn't that the truth, Tapeworm? -

Apparently there will be a Gears 2 preview on April 20th (my birthday btw, just so you all know. :p) -

I never was able to play the original Gear but this one looks great. I guess it is sort of like how I never was able to play the first Vegas but am enjoying Vegas 2. -

Someone's going to have to show me how to put YouTube videos on this forum.
Anyway, I really have only one bad thing to say about the original Gears of War, and that's that it was too short and also I can't beat the RAMM on the hardest level by myself. It ****in' sucks. I've been trying to beat it for almost a year now.
Gears of War 2 could be a pretty cool game if they make the story a bit longer. I play videogames with a grapefruit on my ****. It helps me get in the zone. Check Out These Groups, You Pervert. -

And there's a HUGE article on GoW2 in the new Game Informer magazine that was just released... the game sounds even more interesting to me now, after reading the multi-page article.
Now I'll probably have no other choice but to put a reservation down on the game. -

My GameInformer just came in the mail today, but I haven't read the whole magazine yet. I usually read them while I'm dropping a deuce. I'll probably get to it in about two days.
The cover does look pretty sweet. Mine has Marcus on the cover, with the Lancer. I don't know what the other cover looks like, but it's probably a Locust soldier or something. I play videogames with a grapefruit on my ****. It helps me get in the zone. Check Out These Groups, You Pervert. -

I just read like everything in the magazine. I just only read the magazines when I make boom-boom. Unless I have nothing else to do. Then sometimes, I'll sit down and read. Reading, and duecing just go hand in hand with me.
Also, I don't think I read that fast. I play videogames with a grapefruit on my ****. It helps me get in the zone. Check Out These Groups, You Pervert. -

But back on topic, my cover of Game Informer had Marcus with the lancer on the cover, too. | |
