Assassin's Creed: short? repetitive side missions? I recently finished Assassin's Creed and wanted more gameplay. I beat it in about 7 hours. The story was great, the gameplay in whole was great (especially the free running) and the futuristic elements were definately cool. Unfortunately, the side missions sucked. They got boring quickly. Everything else was awesome. It is definately one of my favorite games EVER though. And I can't wait for AC2. -
Hopefully they learned their lesson and AC 2 won't suck so bad. -
it wasn't terrible, but it certainly was a giant let down in some vital areas. hopefully they'll work out the kinks before AC2 (if there ever is one) -

Link me. They said it's gonna be a trilogy or something. -

Yeah, this is the same thing that I have heard... and judging by the ending of this first game, I'd definitely say that there should be one more game in this series, at the very least. Let's just hope that there are improvements made on future installments of the series... -

I just hope they don't see everyone complaining about how there aren't enough variations of side-missions, and then only add a few more. I understand you have to learn about your target, but it should be things that make sense.
Pickpocketing - Okay, a little weird but whatever
Finding a dude's flags for information - Dumbest side mission.
Interrogate - Pretty cool
Eavesdrop - Doesn't take any skill. Sit on a bench and press a button.
What else was there? They shouldn't just decide to make even more side missions so you have more to choose from, but they should have you do things that you don't have to activate, but things that you can do at any time... Things like spying on your target before you kill him, or something.
And some of the assassinations at the end were really stupid. You couldn't be stealthy and I understand they want the really cool chase at the end but you shouldn't have to fight off 20 guards to get to (or away from) your target. -

I loved this game. I think Altair is one of the most badass characters. Even if it was repetitive, it was still fun imo. Storylines > game play to me. Thats why I love kingdom hearts and other repetitive games. This had one of the best stories in games ive played. Also, the graphics were amazing. Usually when you look from a cliff to a city, its just decoration and there are invisible walls all over the place. Here, you could go everywhere that you could see.
Im posting a link with huge spoilers and it explains the ending in detail, including AC2 possibilities, as well as email explanations. CVG Blog: Assassin's Creed Ending Explained! - ComputerAndVideoGames.com
Enjoy. Requests-139 SOTW Winner Week 33, 37, 119, 120, 128, 129, 135, 138, 147 and 157. -

Altair is a badass.... But you liked the storyline? I thought it was terrible. -

At first, I thought the "twist" in the beginning was busch league, but after I realized who was in charge, I actually thought that it was cool. Also, the ending with the eagle vision made me stop and go... wow, I cant wait for the sequel. Requests-139 SOTW Winner Week 33, 37, 119, 120, 128, 129, 135, 138, 147 and 157. -

I actually enjoyed assassins creed, it was pretty freaking awsome, the ending left me excited as hell for the next ac, i'm pretty sure the next one will be a shooter since desmon got the eagle vision at the end.... and um well now he has to escape now, and the animus thing is done so the next one will be very diffrent, can't wait lol, ac2 should be out by the end of this year, or early next year. | |
