just want some tips on beeting big dadys and anything else i can use though the game
Outsmart them, use the environments to your advantage/their disadvantage, use armor piercing rounds, and use plasmids in combination with the standard weaponry you are equipped with. I'd also recommend getting upgrades for all of your weapons.
Also... performing extensive research will help you deal more damage to a majority of the enemies found lurking in Rapture.
hide behind big daddys walkin by security bots then pop out a little then the bot will shoot at u hitting the big daddy takin away health from him and also takin the bots out
... or you hack a security turret, stand still and turn invisible somewhere near it, and watch it shoot the lumbering big daddy as it walks around. Agitate the big daddy if you must.
The Best thing to do to beat a Big Daddy is use the Electric Gel on the Chemical thrower then shoot him with a strong gun. After the shock has gone away use Electric Gel again and repeat with shooting. Just do that until he dies. Big daddy's are vunerable towards electricity. So you could also use the electric bolt plasmid. If your out of Eve, use a strong gun and just keep running away and dodging his attacks!
Also, the chemical thrower only comes available to you in Arcadia, so if you are before Arcadia, just run and shoot...and dodge! =D
Ice power freezes them in place this is good for buying time and making new plans in case the old one fails.

I haven't played Bioshock in ages but I don't remember having too many problems with Big Daddies. I think the best method is explosives and running backwards a lot. The Big Daddies are Rad. Try Meleeing them to death, I haven't, could be a good challange.
I haven't played it long time, but I do remember shooting the Electric Tripwire from the Crossbow before I engaged a Big Daddy. After I set up the trap I would shoot it and it would run through all of the wires and die from the shock or damage the Big Daddy enough for me to kill it in one or two more shots with any weapon.

Something useful I've found is to freeze them and then hit em with armor-piercing shotgun rounds. Usually does some good damage. Or use telekinesis and throw their grenades back in their own face
