Team Fortress 2, the highly addictive and entertaining multiplayer shooter portion of The Orange Box, is getting a patch to help fix lag issues:
I had alot of Lag last night. But the game is really fun even thought I've never played a MP game like this before. Different
Pretty cool how when someone grabs the intelligence they leave a paper trail behind them. I was cracking up when ever I ran around a corner and one of OME6A's sentry turrets turned me into Swiss Cheese
The only thing I didn't get was the Construction dude. When I went to make a sentry turret the Blue Prints and Image of the sentry appear but nothing happens. Am I missing something ??
Yeah, I noticed you had some lag. I think it was on your end though. None of us were experiencing it, and we didn't have any complaints. That game can be really laggy at times.
As the engineer you can build teleporters, dispensers and sentries. Each item has a metal cost associated with it. Your metal is the number in the bottom right of the sceen. Press left on the dpad to select what to build, position yourself where you want it, and then pull the left trigger (it's left or right).
Sentries can be upgraded from a little pea-shooter, to a daul-gatlin gun rocket launching death machine. After you've built one, keep wacking it with your wrench, and notice it's upgrade meter go up. This only works as long as you have some metal.
Dispensers are great because they give you metal and health. A sentry with a dispenser near by is a good combo. The dispenser will keep giving you metal so that you can quickly upgrade your sentry.
Damn, if you got 40 for Bioshock, Halo should get atleast that... Looks like im only gonna pay 20 bucks for 5 games
I checked with EB Games/GameStop the other day... Halo 3 gets you $35 in trade credit... I'm trading in my copy on Thursday, so I can put it towards The Simpsons Game and Mass Effect.
The simpsons game is terrible, just download the demo and see for yourself. Imo the orange box is well worth the money. I'm only 3/4 of the way through hl2 and i still have 4 more games to go!
I'm not sure if anyone else has been looking at this, but Half Life 2: Orange Box comes out 10/9. I'm not big on Half Life, in fact I've never played it before, but it comes with 5 games for $60.
One of the five games is called Team Fortress 2, and that's what I'm getting it for. It's a fun, cartoony looking class-based online shooter. Kinda like XIII from the PS2, if you ever played that, but way better.
I'll be trading in Halo 3 for this, so you won't be seeing me on Halo after it comes out. Halo looks great, and the campaign is awesome, but multiplayer is garbage. I've never played a more rediculous game than it.
I thought it was the opposite. The campaign was garbage but the multiplayer was fantastic. "Was", being the keyword, ever since my Xbox 360 went kaput (AGAIN!!!!!).
Ive played the original team frortress so Im looking forward to buying the Orange box somtime for the PC im not really that excited about the other games but if there as good as some people say they are im sure they'll be just as good.

Dude, ONLY Half-Life 2 was released a couple years ago, the rest of the 4 games have never been released before because they are brand new.
