Well... it's about time... but it's finally available for download. I woke up earlier than usual this morning so I could download SOTN before I go out of town later today.
Go figure... it comes out before I go on vacation!
I downloaded it. It's bringing back so many memories. I remember coming home from school in like 3rd grade to play the crap out of this game. I never got very far because this disc was too scratched up to play. I can't wait to finally finish it now.

Yah, I played the game so much before that when I got it off the arcade, I got the 200 points in about 2 days. I would have done it in one, but my brother is a bigger fan of the game and was hogging the system for a hella long time. He got the 200 in about 5 hours.
Beat the game as richter is the hardest one to do, but I did that in about 20 minutes. With him you can do a hella fast speed run. Beat the regular, and inverted castle as Richter in 20 minutes. So, if you know where to go and what to do, its really easy.
( for those who didnt know, once you beat the game, regular and inverted castle, just start a new games called Richter, to play as him )
I'm somewhere around level 27 or something, and I am really really close to "unlocking" the inverted castle... I decided to do some backtracking before I finish off Richter, and collect all of the items & relics on the "normal" castle.
So zero... what level did you have Alucard at when you "unlocked" the inverted castle, if you had to take a guess???
I have all of his spells and familiars located/unlocked... I just don't want to get violated like a rape victim in the inverted castle if Alucard's level is too low. I'm also damn near 100% total area explored in the normal castle.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
I was somewhere inbetween level 20-30, but, I played this game a lot prior to xbox live, so, the inverted castle is pretty easy for me. But, once you get there, you start to level up like crazy. If you want an easy spot to level up, go to the library in the inverted castle and kill the scarecrows, lions, and the tin man (And yah it is kinda weird that in that area is all the characters from the wizard of oz)
But to get the best sword in the game is very easy, but sometimes very time consuming. In the inverted Library, there will be these ghosts flying around called Schmoos, If you go in and out of the rooms killing those ghosts, it will EVENTUALLY drop the crissaegram. It is a very very fast attacking sword and does nasty damage. Defenitly the best and the coolest sword in the game.
Oh and I beat the game with Richter to get that achievement in 14 minutes.
Just watch out for Galamoth, he is the hardest boss in the game. One of the easiest ways to beat him is with the crissaegram. Or with the Sheild Rod and Alucard Sheild, I dont want to explain it all, but if you are interested look it up. You can kill any boss in the game in seconds with the sheild rod and Alucard sheild combo, or have two crissaegrams equipped and it takes a few seconds longer xD
I'm not sure if they're just mini spells or what. They don't show up on the list, but you can do them and it'll give you that effect. Like the Knight Shield will make your defense go up for a short amount of time when you do that little spell.

If you have the Sheild Rod and the Alucard Sheild equipped, he does a move where he puts up his sheild and you can just run into people and it does massive damage. So, for example, on the last boss, you can just do that, and jump round for a few seconds, and hes dead.
ehh.. is there a reason why it wont let me save my game?
You don't save it whenever you want. There are a LOT of save point spread out across the map. You should come up on your first one in about 5 minutes >_>
yeah i realized that a little after i posted it.. i was wonderin what those rooms were lol.but it wouldve been nice if they told you how to save in the begining
It's probably been almost 10 years since I last played SOTN before it was first re-released on the Arcade, and I could still remember those cheesy save rooms... there were even a few save rooms I could find from memory alone.
