Well, I'd hate to see someone (that I consider "cool") piss away $600 on a piece of electronics that just gathers dust. Might as well get some use out of it, anyway.
Besides, it's only a matter of time before his 360 craps out on him again and he quits playing it altogether.
Nun... maybe you should trade-up your Xbox 360 version of the game for the PS3 version???
I had thought of that already , but it's was too late. I saw that the PS3 had a limited edition. Oblivion has been keeping me occupied on my PS3 lately. I didn't mean to come off as Tamponistic, I just miss my 360 and and my normal droogs that I hang with.
Spider-man 3 is in the mail right now from gamefly. Should get it saturday or monday. I really never did like Spiderman games but I only put it on my list due to lack of good 360 games, and it looks like it will stay that way for another month. Just, hopefully spiderman can keep me busy for alittle while.
I'm thinking about picking up a copy of the game on my way home from work tonight... provided there are copies available at the EB Games near my house.
Its pretty good, but they could of brung some of the ideas from the second spiderman game, like stores, interactive buildings.
And also a few of the major sky scrappers are missing, the empire state building looks nothing like the actual one, they need to put more detail like the last game, other then that its a really fun game, theres alot of things to do in it.
Also it could of been cool if you could destroy cars when u hit them, even if there are innocent ppl in it >.>, afterall cant spiderman be evil for a while, it would be nice having cops chasing after him.
Bottom line... worth buying right now? I'm in the Spiderman mood since the movie.... but I've got a semi-limited cash flow. I've got some set aside for something else, is it really good, or just good? I don't want to spend money that I'm waiting to spend on something else unless it's really good.
I bet it will get boring fast, ratings on popular websites said it's mediocre at best. IGN gave it a 6/10. The graphics aren't great and the bosses suck. The fighting is just button mashing.

Worth a rent, not a buy, to much money for a game that kinda sucks.
I honestly value the opinion from a person that has been playing the game non-stop over the weekend, and has already unlocked more than 40% of the achievements... but I am setting aside time to complete the Marvel Ultimate Alliance storymode before I start another comic book based game.
Being able to be the dark suited/sinister Spider-Man is worth the price of the game, in my opinion...
That way, I might even be able to buy a used copy of Spider-Man 3 at the store... that will save me some cash.
