This has to be one of the most addicting games I've played since Animal Crossing on the Gamecube. On a side note: this game is much better than Animal Crossing.
The gist: You basically start with a piece of land that you can make use of in any way you can think of. Then come the pinata/animals. They come and take up residence in your garden. You can breed them use items to change their colors and hundreds of other things. Any thing is possible and to top it off it's not even close to being hard. Anyone can do it, even my 10 year old daughter was playing last night. I can't really find anything bad about this game. I can say that this is one of the most underrated games I've ever seen. It's a must have even more than GOW in my opinion.
I'd give this one a 9 out of 10.

My brother told me yesterday that he'd get this Viva Pinata game for me as a birthday/Christmas gift this year.
All I needed to hear you say is that it's better than Animal Crossing... sounds good enough to me, man!
Don't spoil anything more about this game for me, mike! I want to be surprised when I play it on Christmas.
Let me add one more thing. This game is so funny in the cute kind of way. I can site there with my daughter and watch a funny cut scene and laugh with her. Nothing nasty but just a all around blast.
This could be bad news for me. I was ADDICTED to Animal Crossing for the better part of a year. It almost swallowed my life whole. I feel bad things coming if I choose to pick up this game........damn the world of video games. Why must they create such guilty pleasures!!!!!!
My copy should be in the mail from Gamefly in the next few days. Would you be trading with the angry tapeworm? He will barter for a Segway!
Lucky you... it's still showing up as a "short wait" on my GameFly list... hearing about how addictive it is, I'll probably bet right now that the copy (I hopefully) get on 12/25 will arrive sooner than the one from GameFly.
Oh well... I guess it'll be other games until then.
But I'll enjoy hearing comments about it here until I get myself a copy of VP.
Hey guys you all have to catch up. I'm at level 57 gardener with and short about 10 different species to have them all residents. This game is so additive. If anyone needs a certain species just let me know and I can give or sell them one. As of right now, I have a mass quanty of Unicorns, 2 headed snakes, 4 headed snakes and alligators.
Funny that you say this... Larry was telling me the same thing last night. He also told me that his son wanted him to name one of his resident pinatas "Keith"... it almost brought a tear to my eye.
