Socom: Combined Assault *release date* Europe

Well, as we all know, play.com isn't the most reliable of sources when coming to games, and they do slap down any date, however they do have the first release date i've seen on any british site. Their saying it's due for release on the 15/09/2006, so 15th of september this year. Good news if you ask me, however im doubtful as the americans have a release date of november. So dont hold me to this, but we could be lucky, and that means if it is a release date then the americans should be getting it well... about 6 months ago. So unrealistic.

Yeh I use play.com or amazon.co.uk IMO good trustworthy sites. Also imlooking forward to S:CA but I will most probely get it for christmas when hopefully its price drops.

You can't get it that soon- you just got Socom 3!

Exactly, we just got socom 3 in March. We havnt even got any patches or map packs yet.

Could someone please tell me what these maps and patches are all about I've heard that you get maps from Socom II but how do you exactly get them? Do you download them or buy a disc

you download them on to a hard drive or usb flash pin stuck in to your ps2's usb port.you downlond the maps from the socom store in the socom communitty

how can the EU release date be in september when the US release is in november?! we'll probably get it the summer 2007... but i think ill order it from the US and play it on my ps3 if it works :)

if ur playing the PAL version u wont get the maps... but we'll get them on socom combined assault...

EU release date is now 27 march :) let's hope Zipper keeps their word and actually releases a game at a release date...

Released after the Playstation 3

In my opinion, that's moronic... I mean, I'm glad that we'll finally get the play the bloddy game, but personally, I'll have spent every single penny I have on a PS3, and won't be splashing out on Combined Assault.... also I reckon most people will be too engrossed in High Definition gaming, to be bothered about CA, maybe sales will pick up after a while, when we realise it'll be another couple of years untill Socom 4 comes out
