Xbox 360 recommendations?

I could not find another thread with a similar topic! If it is a duplication, I expect a lecture from Creep.....<wink>!!!!!!

What do people suggest for this system. What games have people played and what do you think of them. I do not want to hear, "This is an awesome game". I would like to get some details behind a game, and why it is sooooo good. I know I want to get "Hitman" and "The Outfit", but am interested to hear insight on other games.

Creep, holla at me. I am seekign solid ideas for games, and now since we live so far apart (and I can not email everyday), I need some help! Feel free to share some knowledge with your Padawan Gamer!

Well, BattleField 2 Modern combat is a must. The game is uber and Fight Night Round 3. Definatly the premium bundle, then renew your xbox live. It has so many great features. Definatly Prey, the best fps ever.EVER. All the football games. And then your set. Game system is amazing, if you have hdtv use it. If not, get an svideo, makes it look so much better than composite cables.

If you like Jet Fighter simulation games, Over G Fighters is a must have game. I am totally addicted to that game. Unlike the Ace Combat series this game is online capable with two modes, Arena and Versus. With Arena there a 4 two man teams. Its you and your wingman vs three other teams in a race to destroy each other's bases and shoot each other down in the process. In Versus mode its two teams of 4 in straight air to air combat. My preferred mode is Arena though. After that its Ghost Recon!

My 360 suggestions?

Like Allstar suggested, definitely be ready to renew your Xbox Live gold membership (after your trial month expires).

Then... buy yourself 1600 Microsoft points from a local EB Games or Gamestop.

After that... download Geometry Wars: Evolved & Uno... or any other Xbox Live Arcade game that interests you. Or you can download new themes & gamerpics (a.k.a. - Xbox Live avatars).

Good 360 games? My personal favorites are: Hitman Blood Money, Table Tennis, Gun, The Outfit, and Tomb Raider: Legend... MLB2K6 is good, but not GREAT.

Upcoming games I plan on getting: Dead Rising and Saint's Row.

I downloaded the demo for "Prey"... I thought it was okay.

(Kinda thought Quake 4 was better, IMO.)

As far as "Saint's Row" goes... I'm putting a deposit down on it later this weekend... AFTER I purchase "Hitman: Blood Money", of course.

Yeah, prey was alright but I still kinda liked it. It's not on my priority list right now. When I get paid next friday, I'm giong to put money down on Saints Row. Oh, and the demo comes out The 1st of august

I might have yet another Xbox 360 game recommendation later... I got a copy of "Chromehounds" in the mail today at work (thanks, GameFly).

I'm being hopeful that it will be good... but I'll post back later with my thoughts, regardless.

How has no one mentioned Call of Duty 2 yet? It's only the #1 online game. It's an amazing first person shooter, even more so if you can play it in hi-def with surround sound. It's pretty much the socom of xbox 360 right now.

Prey is the new one correct? I played the demo at a friend's house, and it was pretty f'ing cool.
