How long have you been playing online?
Well, I'm getting discouraged, because I'm playing games lucky to have 2 kills after 5 rounds, even 6. I've only been playing for a week, and was wondering how long everyone else has been playing, and how long it took them to get good. I mean, I'm playing alot, I'm just not good.

Did you ever play Socom2? Well S3 is different, dont get discourged....after playing the maps you will begin to know where people run and gun to as well as Snipe from. I have been playing back in Oct 2005 when it came out. My advice is jump in some small and big respawns and learn the maps, you will be fine after that.

What's wrong with the tacos? Why do people compare this to other stuff? Why makes it special? I haven't eat tacos for 3 years. I might try to eat again. It's good though.

Don't be discouraged. I would get maybe 1,2, or 3 kills a game, but now that i've been playing more and more, i'm usually 1st or 2nd on the list on most games now. You'll get it. Do some respawns.

First things first, you gotta find the gun that you perform best with. To find this, join some respawns and go a round or so with just one gun (but if you truly hate it, chnage weapons) and see how things go. Eventually you'll find the one that makes you like superman and rambo combined. Next, you want to learn the maps, do this with respawns or small maps (you'll learn parts of the map real well) and just travel around but also get to killing. After this, you'll get a little better day after day. I've had this since launch and after I stopped using the F90 and switched my gun to the STG, 552, M4A1, and IW-80 A2, I found out that I could do good with those. If nothing else just get some crazy gun combos going and see how they go.

The first socom series of game i played was for the PSP. ive been playing socom FTB from the time it came out in oct. I ended up in the top clan and basically we ended up as the top FTB clan.
Anyway, myself and some friends from FTBwanted to give socom 3 a try because we wanted a to play vs alot more people. So some of us got socom 3 prob about 2 weeks ago. The layout of socom 3 is alot like the layout was for FTB so getting around was easy for me. An interesting fact is that the FTB server piggy backs off the socom 3 server. To get back on track, i have been playing for 2 weeks and my skill lvl goes up every day, like all these guys have been saying, once u learn the maps, you wont be just running around hotspots n getting picked off. I think the most important things is to learn the maps, if you play the game long enough all the skill aspect will start to come to you, but once u learn the maps, the skill level can creep up that much faster.

I've been playing since january, it's tuff at first but once you learn the maps and find what weapons work for you, it will be much easier. A little tip, if you run and gun don't put a scope on your gun, it decreases accuracy, try the rifle laser and or front grip if you unlocked it. Well good luck and have fun.

I agree with everyone about learning the maps, thats key. & also watching experienced players on your team to get a better feel for what the typical spots are for the maps. I started to play in March I think & I was getting killed left & right because I didn't know the maps but now that I've familiarized myself with them & the tendencies that each map is played with I can hold my own now! And I also agree with playing Respawns, that is good practice & also to try different weapons!
