Will Xbox 360 take all our online players?

I think its going to draw a few. Why, not just because of Xbox Live but by releases of games like Oblivion and Call of Duty 2. But I totally hate xbox, I'm totally loyal to Sony and I always will be. If I chose xbox then I'd have to give up Socom for halo. Honestly I don't like Halo at all. Its the same thing both games, kill a couple aliens, save commander, glitch in online play. I follow the old saying "Halo ruins relationships".

I bought a 360 recently, and I think it kinda sucks.. That is until the next gen games come out for it. I hate Xbox, but Sony also is terrible to their customers so I bought one just because Im impatient and wanted to see what "next gen" is about. I was a loyal fan of Sony but they really didnt supply anything for that 100$ I wasted on the HDD (socom 2). They dont listen or care about their customers (support is terrible) and fail to produce games at even a remotely close date to which they said they would.. Nonetheless I plan to get a PS3 IF it isnt rediculously expensive mainly for Socom 4 and Gran Turismo 5 and honeslty just picked a 360 up because I had the extra cash and was a little curious.

But anyway, after not really finding any interest in any of the available games (Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon: Advanced War Fighter, Project Gotham Racing, bla bla bla... the list goes on..) I bought Halo 2 (original Xbox).. Wow, this game is absolutetly stupid. But thats for another day. Microsoft just doesnt produce good games, plain and simple.

The only players that Xbox will take are those of us who are just too impatient to wait on PS3 like myself.

Make that two of us, then. I, too, was too impatient to wait... and it will be a cold day in hell before I drop $500 or $600 or $700 on a gaming system. Sony can kiss my white arse before that ever happens.

Let's face it... Microsoft priced their new console much better than Sony is planning on. We'll all have to stick around and see how well this plan did/did not work...

Other than PGR3, I don't think Microsoft produced any of those games that you mentioned... so that's not really a valid statement that you made, sorry.

Why in the blue hell would you start playing Halo 2 all of a sudden? If you're looking for a "good next gen game" then I think you picked a silly game to play in your quest for finding what you were looking for.

Fight Night Round 3 (or whatever it's actually titled) is a true next gen game... if you haven't played that, give it a rent... I've heard nothing short of how it "wows" people every time that they play it. I played the 360 demo for this game, and I was impressed.

Sorry to hear that you wasted your money on a 360... talk to JAKKMOVE, maybe you can sell your system to him.

Meh, who cares. The point is that what Ive played so far hasnt really been anything of interest. I saw Fight Night at best buy and it look sweeeeet. Im gonna have to buy that one and another controller.

Yea, I guess I shouldve clarified that a little bit. Back when my roomate had an Xbox all we played was Halo 2. I never really got into that much but I thought it was a cool game. After not really finding anything I particularly wanted at the store (and being low on cash), I just picked up a used copy of it. I mean, its XBox's most online played game still so I figured at least the multiplayer aspect of it would be entertaining..

LMAO... yeah, it woulda been easier to "know" your situation if you originally went into this much detail. Eh, I have Halo 2 for my original Xbox and I have only played it a few times at the most... Sometimes I feel bad about that fact, but then I remember how much more fun SOCOM 2 (and S3, in the beginning) was to play online.

I really am enjoying my 360 much, much, much more than my old raggedy (sarcasm) Xbox, PS2, or GC.

Just a matter of time until Texas Hold 'em, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter are available on Xbox Live Arcade. And they STILL have Uno online, for pete's sake!!!

I have been a PS2 fan since it came out but now that I have a xbox 360 the only reason I still play the PS2 is socom 2. I'm sorry but xbox completly outdoes the ps2 as far as customer service. When they say they are going to release some downloadable content they do it. It may get delayed a week or two but never months like sony's stuff. As far as games on the 360 there are plenty. Ghost Recon is one of the best shooters I've seen. (They released some downloadable content for that on Thursday). This week there is a jet fighter sim coming out called Over G Fighters similar to Ace combat but you can play it online unlike Ace combat. Also look up a game called Gears of War it comes out in a couple months as well. I am looking forward to xbox's line up of games. Right now Sony has not showed me anything thats worth $600 bucks. A Blue Ray disc player? Who cares! How many people actually use their game consoles as their DVD players anyway? I don't. So yes I am one online player the 360 has taken.

I tried playing DVDs in my PS2 (a first generation PS2, mind you) back in the days when I didn't have a separate DVD player... I think that cut the life of my original PS2 in half.

Nevermind the fact that my PS2 could never play XXX rated DVDs without major problems, too... that's what really ticked me off about its inability to playback DVDs.

Sony should have NEVER advertised that their PS2 had the ability to play DVDs... I think there should have been some kind of disclaimer released from their company... something like, "Our PS2s sometimes play DVDs".

Even though for some strange reason my first gen PS2 is still alive, I agree. However, I suck, so I dont have a separate DVD player other than my 360 wicth is hooked up in place of my PS2. The DVD part of the 360 is awsome. Its actually about 4840932780-725-3y74y689437% better than the PS2's, but Im just too hesitant to repeatedly watch DVD's in fear of what happened to many other PS2's.
