How to obtain a Handle to the EU Servers:
For me, I did not get any network disc or cards to sign up
for a network disc or online gameplay with my ps2 when I bought it.
(Stupid Virgin megastore gave me an incomplete box)
I gave sony a call and told them the story I never
got it, me being new to my own ps2 slimline I thought you would
not even need it because of the built-in ethernet connection.
Here is how I got online after a few days stuck with the problem:
Just do a google search on 'Playstation2 support' in your area
and ring them up to tell them your story. (ps: not central station support, but PS2 support)
They will ask you for your postal details and give you
a temporary access pin-nr thru your email adress so you can go and
temporarely register yourself at:
Http://www.yourgamingname.com/
(use internet explorer for this, I use opera and other browsers,
but they seem to mess up, like registering that I'm born in 1944 in andora and stuff)
Then when you have created your handle you get 44 days
to register it with a real pin, which will be posted to your home adress.
In the meantime of course you can already go online with your temp. handle :)
It took them about 2 weeks to mail my Network Disc and my official PIN.
Log in to 'yourgamingname.com' again to provide them with the PIN
and you are good to go!
