Alright alright alright...Ome6a has some major nice tips, so newbies should read his advice. I've developed my skills nicely over the past few months, and I must say that I am a very successful rusher.

First...USE THAT RED INDICATOR! You know that arrow that pops up every once in a while? That is probably the most helpful thing in the game. That arrow pops up whenever someone is firing a gun, or is throwing a nade, or planting a mine, or is launching an explosive. This means, if there is one single player left and he throws a grenade, his spot is gone.

Then, like most other people said, don't just keep running. As the game starts, run to a good spot. Analyze where people are, and what's happening. Then decide where you should go. Once you kill a guy, head off to another spot, and analyze. Always find a good spot where you can stop to look at what's happening.

The best objective for yourself is to get behind the enemy. This means that you don't always have to rush right into the enemy, but try to go an undetected way, then find yourself behind the enemy. Then, be patient. Don't shoot as they are turning the corner, because then they can simply turn around, wait for you behind the corner, and put a clip in your face.

It's not a bad idea to stop, go prone, and just wait. In this case, try not to get in a place where grenades are thrown, because you will not be able to get up in time to save yourself. However, if you go prone in a corner with a silencer, you should be able to get whoever passes by you. The best places to go prone are in long runways in a corner. Then you will see them first, and with the better accuracy because you're prone, they're dead.

Being unpredictable is key. If you find yourself 1 on 1 with an enemy, try to hide for a bit, and see what he does. If he throws a grenade, then that should be an easy kill. Run out there while his nades are equipped and he has no chance of killing you. If he chases you, GET BEHIND HIM. Or, if you know you're skill level, surprise him face first.

If you're at a very-commonly used "camping spot" (red room in citadel, boat in boneyard) then always run in circles. What I mean by this, is run around to the end of the spot, jump off, and run to the spot where you enter, putting you behind the enemy. This is one of the most effective methods when using an assault rifle.

And also, you should often slap on a silencer. This helps because if you suddenly start shooting at someone who doesn't know where you are, that few extra seconds that it takes him to find you with your silencer are key. By the time he figures out where, he is dead. However, if you went un-silenced, it's MUCH easier to notice somebody.

The silencer also helps you get away from campers and snipers. If you don't have a silencer, and you kill somebody, you should be almost dead because they can see where the shots were coming from.

And for me, I just feel that the silencer gives me better aim. I dunno why, but I usually kill people quicker with it on.

When I die from being sniped. I almost always keep myself locked on him so I can follow his steps for the next round.
I know that he may not snipe me from the same spot and use a different spot the following round, but now I know the areas he will frequent in later rounds.

thats quite a good tactic, i rarely do that, im too impatient, if somebody kills them they usually stay in the same place because they think they'll kill me, and with that i just move to a different spot, so i can still see them, and then pop them in the head, hilarious really.

a good tactic ive found and used is when you are out numberd and they are waiting for u behind some cover and taking peek shots at u. throw some smokes in front of them and run around to the back of where they are hiding.
