Let me just state, I am in no way a qualified author, nor am I an expert in Photoshop. I am not claiming to be. I know the pics blow, however, I could not find any maps of the single player game online so I sketched them myself. Obviously not all buildings are there, nor are they to scale. I am not claiming them to be. This is just to give you an idea to help you along. Also, this is the way that I complete this level and I am not claiming it is the correct, or only way to do it. This is just my personal flavor so take it for what it is.
Equipment-
Equipment is based off preference on this level. You will only see a total of roughly 10-12 guys with the gun you select until we switch it out for a M60E3, so I would strongly suggest getting a gun in which you are good with as apposed to one that is going to last you. Silence is irrelevent on this level and the thermal scope is available if you should choose to snipe. I would strongly recommend you give all of your other teamates M60E3s as well. This will be a long battle, you want your team to have ammo.
Entering the Embassy-
Upon starting the level, you will be able to see a tango straight ahead of you. Take him out or stealthily move towards the left. I tend to run and gun, theefore not really caring about the silence of my movement, however, if you like to be tactical...so be it. After moving left, there will be a tango around the opposite side of the bus...take him out and turn right. After a short alley, you will be able to make either a right or left. To your right will be a tango in the distance. Take him out and proceed left where a tango manning the turret will be located. Scope in to kill him or rush him if you are unable to snipe him. With this noise, a flock of 3-5 tangos from the alley to the right of the turret will rush you. Take them out and you will gain access to another street. This street is the main road. To your right will be 1-2 more tangos. Down these, and proceed left to the corner of the barrier surrounding the Embassy. You will be able to climb over it and move up the boxes to the left to an open window into the embassy.
Grab the Hostages-
Upon entering through the window, you will encounter the male embassy worker. Restrain him, then go right. There is a door in the corner after you make a right, which will lead to another room which is filled with an M60E3, M4A1SD, and ammo for each. As tempting as the M4A1SD may be, take the machine gun and all the ammo for it. For a bonus objective, you can run up the stairs in that room to lead to a room with a radio to destroy and secret documents to uncover. KEEP YOUR TEAM IN THE AMMO ROOM IF YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS AS JESTER OFTEN COMMITS SUICIDE WHEN YOU BLOW THE RADIO. Exit that room and go back to the room where you found the male hostage. Grab him and tell him to follow you. On the opposite side of the loft, the female will be awaiting you. This will cut to an FMV and you need to restrain her and have her follow you. The 10 minute timer will start here so hurry to the roof. Do not waste time. Go back into the loft room and make a right to encounter a set of stairs leading up. Follow them all the way up until you get to the roof...
The Rooftop Battle-
This is how I posistion myself when encountering this onslaught. I put the hostages in the right corner of the extract under prone. It is very vital they are prone as it is so much safer. Make sure they are in the corner I have appointed on the map, if you decide to do this my way. I position Bravo team in the coordinates listed, or as close as I can get them as they tend to be hard to position exactly. The easiest way to do this, in my mind, is to “Run to” them until they get it right. Posistion Jester to the left of you, and go prone facing the doorway. All tangos will come straight through the door and with your M60E3, it should be easy to dispose of them. Make sure to keep Jester and Bravo team away from the door as if they get to close they will go for the rifle butt, which I believe you know how that goes. At 1:34, snipers will appear to the south of you. I don't bother with them. To kill them, they are on the rooftops and a pretty hard shot with a M60. They are not required to complete the mission so I do not bother. When time runs out, the helicopter will state “This is Sky Chopper. We are inbound on your location, standby. ETA- 20 seconds". After this clown gets done yappin, tell your team to “Hold Position” and step up to the platform with the hostages. Deploy red smoke where the “S” is on the map. Make sure it is in that corner exactly. Do not throw it in the middle, or on the lower platform. Throw it in that corner and stand next to the hostages to guard them. Get down so you don't get sniped and relax for 20 seconds until the chopper picks you up...Mission Accomplished.
